Job Description

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

This is a 1-year contract position.

About the role:

This role plays a critical part in advancing and maintaining the effectiveness of the organization’s Third‑Party Risk Management (TPRM) program while supporting the broader Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function. It is a highly operational and detail‑oriented position that contributes directly to risk oversight, process execution, and the ongoing maturity of enterprise risk practices.

The position requires strong organizational discipline and a structured approach to coordinating complex workflows across the third‑party lifecycle. It supports cross‑functional collaboration, ensures consistency in risk assessments and governance activities, and helps drive operational excellence within a fast‑paced risk environment. Through analytical rigor, careful documentation, and effective facilitation, this role enables sound decision‑making and strengthens the organization’s overall risk posture.

About the day-to-day:

  • Co-ordinate operational aspects of the Third-Party Risk Management program.
  • Provide effective oversight and challenge of the TRPM program.
  • Support the broader Enterprise Risk Management team on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain the Third-Party Inventory.
  • Facilitate operational aspects of the Third-Party Risk Management Program through the lifecycle (Onboarding, Monitoring, Offboarding)
  • Facilitate and challenge Criticality and Risk Assessments.
  • Support the operation of the ServiceNow Third Party Risk Management platform.
  • Create and analyze internal third-party reports at aggregate and individual level.
  • Co-ordinate meetings with internal and external business teams and third parties.
  • Support the overall Enterprise Risk Management team on an ongoing basis.

About the qualifications:

  • 3+ years of risk management experience (e.g., enterprise, operational, third party etc.)
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, data analysis, visualization, and presentation tools (ex. Excel, Power BI).
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Effective communicator and adept at building professional relationships.
  • Ability to analyze complex business issues, understand and leverage data, build tailored and practical solutions, and translate them into concise, actionable, and impactful recommendations.
  • Strong organization, planning and project management skills and ability to execute effectively in dynamic environments, and under tight timelines.
  • Familiarity with OSFI B-10 regulations and key business processes (e.g., corporate governance, third party management, risk management, project management, and / or other areas, standards, and frameworks) would be beneficial.
  • Financial services experience with a federally regulated financial institution is strongly preferred.
  • Newly or part-qualified CPA or equivalent (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Post secondary education in a relevant field (finance, business, accounting)

About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Compensation:

The expected salary for this role is approximately $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
