You'll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Independently perform advanced mechanical and electromechanical builds, fabrication, panel building, and mechatronics assembly for complex custom test systems
  • Maintaining a functional, clean working environment following 6S practices
  • Collaboration with engineering
  • Lead troubleshooting and maintenance effort for automated test equipment and integrated control systems
  • Interpret and review blueprints, schematics and mechanical/electrical documentation with minimal supervision
  • This position requires a driven and motivated individual who will be required to frequently interact with our Test Automation Group and maintain schedules, while aligning with safety and quality expectations
  • Willingness to learn through training/professional development from our internal team and external course work when applicable
  • Culture alignment is imperative, interpersonal skills, self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to influence design and testing decisions
  • Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contributing to internal training initiatives
  • Embrace a growth mindset, seek out technical coaching and feedback, while developing problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

What TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • Technical Degree or 2-5 years’ experience in related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in power tools, assembly systems, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting
  • A thorough understanding of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and/or control systems
  • Passion to work in a high pace environment, with extreme agility
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and project coordination skills
  • Professional, clear communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least three of the following categories:
    • Assembly/Construction of custom test equipment/systems
    • Mechanical Assembly of Hydraulic/Pneumatic Systems
    • Mechanical Assembly of extruded aluminum framing
    • Mechanical Assembly of power transmission components
    • Ability to set up and operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, waterjet and press brake
    • Non-energized connection of 3 phase power components
    • Electrical schematic interpretation
    • Electrical control panel wiring and layout
  • Preferred Certifications: UL Panel Building, NFPA70E, OSHA 10, Fork Truck, Overhead Crane
