DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.

Supplier capacity management, need often to trip to supplier site to check 4M to mitigate supply risk

2.

Work with SQE & Purchasing on supplier performance review, drive supplier to improve quality and delivery

3.

Align with GCM for direct material cost reduction, 2nd source implementation, VA/VE, negotiations, etc

4.

Support new project launch, lead sourcing activities for Subcon business

5.

Early involvement from design/quotation, alternatives recommendation/qualification, sample launch to mass production

6.

Optimize incoterms, improve and align payment terms, MOQ/Scale price optimization, inventory control (DSI)

7.

Maximize material value, review S&E and scrap components, resell them to mitigate material loss

8.

Urgently drive critical supply escalations, support pull-in/push out, cancellation, quality issues and other suppliers’ issues. Compensation negotiation for supplier issues

9.

Stewardship support: Supplier SR audit, RBA audit; Meet strategic customer requirement for CMRT, BCP, EH&S

SCOPE:

Implement global category strategic guidance (MG209- PCB, FPC/FFC)

Take sourcing activities and support Molex DG Plant operation.

Extend support to Molex other sites

EDUCATION:

REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree

PREFERRED:

Advanced degree

WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

5+ years of experience in PCB sourcing, category management, engineering or procurement

Familiar with PCB fabrication process and PCB key performance factors.

PREFERRED:

Familiarity with Industry Standard, Should Cost Model, related Production Process

Experience in AI Server, Networking, Automotive or Medical Electronics industry.

Experience with second-source qualification and supply risk mitigation.

REQUIRED:

Good communication and negotiation skills, and excellent business sense

Good problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills

Good Teamwork spirit, and Economical thinking

Fluent English Capability and Good Office software Skills

PREFERRED:

SAP application experience is preferred
