DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Executing NPD Projects:

· Develop product and supplier market understanding to support NPD sourcing decisions.

· Lead NPD sourcing activities throughout PDP, including costed BOMs, sourcing plans, supplier selection, and risk mitigation.

· Provide Design-to-Value input to support manufacturability, quality, cost, and supplier capability.

· Manage key sourcing projects in line with Molex procurement policies and project management requirements.

· Support customer-focused sourcing actions to improve business win rate, cost competitiveness, and speed to market.

· Identify and implement NPD cost avoidance and cost reduction opportunities.

· Lead supplier qualification and onboarding before production release.

Regional Category Management:

· Manage assigned DSS direct material categories and sustaining supply base to improve cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and supplier performance.

· Develop and execute sourcing strategies, including TCO, should-cost review, volume consolidation, alternate sourcing, localization, dual sourcing, and supplier development.

· Partner with Global Category Leaders and cross-functional teams to align divisional sourcing strategies and business priorities.

· Manage BOM cost across the product life cycle through RFQ analysis, cost reduction roadmap execution, price change control, and purchasing term improvement.

· Conduct spend, demand, cost, market trend, and supplier performance analysis to support sourcing decisions and risk mitigation.

· Lead supply risk mitigation actions, including supply base optimization, capacity evaluation, BCP support, VA/VE projects, and supply imbalance resolution.

· Support PCN, EOL, supplier/material change, localization, capacity expansion, and strategic product pipeline activities.

· Manage SRM activities with key suppliers, including supplier scorecard reviews, performance improvement, commercial negotiation, and supplier agreement support.

SCOPE:

· This is part of DSS Division CSBU Procurement team.

EDUCATION:

REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or another related Technical Field

PREFERRED:

· MBA or another related graduate degree or Certification

WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

· 5+ years of direct material procurement, sourcing, or category management experience, including NPD sourcing, supplier development, cost analysis, negotiation, and cross-functional project management.

· Experience in global procurement management with significant experience in negotiations.

· Global knowledge of suppliers and international markets.Related industry experience.

PREFERRED:

· Sourcing experience on connectors, cable, plastics, machining, molding, stamping, die-casting, plating, electronic components and outsourcing categories.

· RF components sourcing experience for China and abroad.
