Your Role at Baxter

The research we do and the products we develop improve outcomes for patients around the world. As a Sr. Engineer, R&D at Baxter, your work contributes directly to making a significant impact on others. It's challenging work—and you're not on your own. Our teams collaborate multi-functionally and lead by influence.

As R&D Senior Engineer you're responsible for performing engineering analysis, design, and verification to requirements for small to medium projects and/or designated segments of larger, more complex projects. May provide guidance to other engineers on technical issues, participate in design reviews, and help resolve problems of medium complexity.

What you'll be doing

• Apply technical proficiencies and knowledge to solve routine problems or improve existing designs or processes.
• Implement Change Requests (CR/COs) in the Agile PLM system (detailed design drawings, schematics, specifications, and bills of materials).
• Ability to create or modify BOMs, schematics, or other design documentation.
• Complete detailed, high‑quality user documentation to capture and communicate designs.
• Document status and results accurately, concisely, and purposefully.
• Design and coordinate research and testing to validate, analyze, and solve technical problems.
• Apply new technical tools and concepts under the direction of others.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomechanical, Mechatronic) or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience working in similar roles with experience managing projects of product improvement
• Product design experience, including tolerance tests and experience working with metals and plastics.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Knowledge of SolidEdge of similar CAD software
