The Sr. Engineer – Lab Quality is responsible for ensuring compliance with NABL accreditation requirements, maintaining laboratory quality management systems, and managing calibration activities for Safety, EMC, and Environmental testing labs. This role ensures accuracy, traceability, and continual improvement of testing and measurement processes while supporting internal and external audits, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and NABL accreditation requirements
- Maintain, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Prepare and manage documentation including Quality Manual, SOPs/Work Instructions, test procedures, and records
- Coordinate and support NABL audits, internal audits, and surveillance audits
- Handle non-conformities (NC), conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure compliance with safety, EMC, and environmental test standards
- Conduct and monitor ILC/PT/IQC quality activities
- Validate test methods and participate in method verification/validation
- Plan, schedule, and execute calibration of all lab equipment and instruments
- Ensure traceability of measurements to national/international standards
- Maintain calibration records, certificates, and uncertainty budgets
- Coordinate with internal and external calibration agencies (NABL/ILAC accredited labs)
- Evaluate calibration results and ensure instruments meet required tolerances
- Monitor measurement uncertainty and ensure accuracy of results
- Conduct internal audits as per the audit schedule
- Identify risks and opportunities within lab operations and support mitigation planning
- Maintain document control systems as per NABL/ISO requirements, including revision control and archival
- Ensure proper retention and traceability of test and calibration records
- Identify training needs and support capability building of lab personnel
- Conduct or coordinate training on quality systems, calibration practices, and testing standards
- Maintain competency records for technical staff
- Address customer queries related to quality and calibration
- Support client audits and technical discussions
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and certification requirements

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and NABL accreditation requirements
- Hands-on experience in laboratory quality systems and calibration management
- Understanding of measurement uncertainty and traceability concepts
- Experience in internal audits, documentation control, and CAPA management
- 5–10 years of experience in NABL accredited labs or similar testing environments
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Certification or formal training in ISO/IEC 17025
- Familiarity with EMC testing standards (CISPR, IEC), Safety testing (IEC/UL), and Environmental testing (temperature, humidity, vibration, etc.)
- Experience with ILC/PT/IQC program management
- Exposure to client audits and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Strong documentation, reporting, and audit-handling capabilities
