Excellent skills and core competency of Wiring harness CAD 3D layout & routing using CATIA V6 • Complete knowledge on WH design process and guidelines. (Must: CATIA 3dxml to CHS 2D WH systematic flattening process) • Excellent skill on PLM / Teamcenter for data management and change management. • Release of layout and update the layout in Teamcenter on time to meet the project targets timeline. • Digital Mock Up file preparation to understand the manufacturing and serviceability of electrical & electronics component. • Participating & conducting packaging & DMU review with anticipating the failure modes proactively analysis with various interface COE team and cross functional team. • Prepare the WH packaging interface sign-off and reviewing the critical inputs before tool kick-off of all new WH development. • WH Installation drawing preparation and PLM release. • Experience in fitment trail to be conducted at manufacturing location and co-ordination for vehicle build. • Experience in capturing build feedback and implementing the design actions. • Design skills of plastic / sheet metal component, channels for wiring harness, clamps, ECU mounting brackets etc allied components required for WH routing and packaging. • Basic Tooling feasibility analysis of plastic and sheet metal brackets. • Detailed design domain knowledge on electrical systems like Electrical Distribution System. • Hands on experience on Common rail system integration, LIN Based alternator integration, Engine start stop Logic, Li-Ion battery system Integration & its application on vehicle. • Knowledge of all subsystems of the vehicle to work out the interface architecture for the vehicle. • Moderate knowledge on all communication protocols like CAN, LIN & PWM • Knowledge on automobile electrical & electronics systems viz Harness, ECU`s, Sensor, Alternator, Starter, Battery, etc. • Understand the E&E System requirements, E&E architecture of vehicle & individual components, security, safety & other vehicle body functions. • Prepare and maintain the bill of material with weight details for all parts and child components. • Analysing & providing the solution for packaging related failures and working with respective teams to reduce/eliminate the failures in new projects. • Benchmarking of various automotive domain products and applicating the best practices. • Creation of context file setup in Team center to monitor the system team updates. • Finalization of various components torque requirements and tool usage to standardize the existing infrastructure in assembly locations. • Meeting the cost targets specified without compromising quality of the product and bringing out some cost-effective solution through IMCR/VAVE activities. • Knowledge on Field failure & analysis: Analysing on field reported concerns and giving solution to reduce/eliminate it and capturing that issue in upcoming products. 1 • Knowledge on packaging the electrical & electronics components into vehicle environment
