Job Description

Role Purpose

The Sr. Enclosure Controls Engineer is responsible for leading the operation, reliability, and enhancement of Enclosure and ECU control systems supporting critical manufacturing processes. This role ensures stable process conditions, equipment reliability, and effective control system governance while supporting production ramp-up and long-term system sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain Enclosure / ECU control systems to ensure stable melting process environments and consistent production quality.
  • Define and govern standard operating parameters, and coordinate with PDC to resolve abnormal system conditions.
  • Lead cold repair system retrofits and ECU/Enclosure upgrades aligned with tank platform updates.
  • Own and maintain Facility SCADA systems, ensuring effective monitoring, control, and system reliability.
  • Plan and execute major equipment maintenance, overhauls, and end-of-life (EOL) upgrade strategies.
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure spare parts readiness, cost-effective operation, and compliance with Facility MOC requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Initiate and lead PLC control solution projects as appropriate to support competency and capability development to advance operational competitive advantage and build pipeline of engineering talents.
  • Advanced AI solutions development and deployment.
  • Be responsible for establishing training and development programs/processes to enhance team’s competencies, capabilities and skills in core technologies through project assignments, training, coaching, seminars and conferences.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC, PLC controls, or facility systems engineering.
  • Proven experience in process design, equipment selection, commissioning, and system troubleshooting.
  • Experience leading system upgrades, retrofits, or major maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and control system fundamentals.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid project execution and coordination capabilities.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with SCADA systems, facility automation, or large-scale manufacturing environments.
    • Hands-on experience with control systems hardware and software, including:
      • PLC logic and sequencing control (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen‑Bradley)
      • PC-Level programming languages (VB, C/C++, C#)
      • Industrial SCADA and DCS (e.g. GE iFiX, LabView).
      • Fundamental understanding of feedback control principles, such as PID, motion control, and advanced control algorithms.
    • Ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions and influence system-level decisions.
    • Proactive mindset with strong ownership and continuous improvement orientation.
    • TOEIC 550+ or equivalent English proficiency.
