The Electronics Engineer will support the development of internal electrical, controls, and system integration capability for the ULT product platform.

This role is critical to strengthening Suzhou's capability in product controls, electrical architecture, system integration, validation, troubleshooting, and future product development support.

The engineer will work closely with Global R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Software, and Suppliers to improve product reliability, support industrialization, resolve technical issues, and build long-term controls and electronics expertise within the Suzhou organization.

As Suzhou expands its role from manufacturing to a broader engineering and capability platform, this position will become a key contributor to future NPI, validation, service support, and technology development activities.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Controls System Engineering

  • Support ULT electrical and controls system troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Develop understanding of product electrical architecture, controller systems, sensors, and communication interfaces.
  • Analyze product performance related to electrical and controls systems.
  • Support implementation and verification of engineering changes.

Product Industrialization Support

  • Support electrical and controls readiness during product transfer and NPI activities.
  • Participate in Alpha, Beta, Pilot, and production launch support.
  • Evaluate manufacturability, serviceability, and testability of electrical systems.
  • Support engineering issue resolution during industrialization.

Validation & Reliability Support

  • Support validation and verification activities for electrical and controls systems.
  • Participate in reliability testing and failure investigations.
  • Analyze field failures and support root cause analysis.
  • Develop validation methods and test procedures for controls-related functions.

Technical Problem Solving

  • Investigate complex electrical and controls-related issues.
  • Work cross-functionally with refrigeration, software, manufacturing, quality, and service teams.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions for recurring technical issues.
  • Support customer and field escalation investigations when required.

Supplier Engineering & Localization

  • Support qualification of controllers, sensors, displays, harnesses, and other electrical components.
  • Participate in supplier technical reviews and capability assessments.
  • Support localization/VAVE and dual-source development initiatives.
  • Drive technical improvements and cost reduction opportunities with suppliers.

Service & Lifecycle Support

  • Support development of service documentation and troubleshooting guides.
  • Assist with technical training for service organizations and channel partners.
  • Support field technical issue investigations and resolution.
  • Improve product diagnostic capability and serviceability.

AI & Digital Engineering

  • Utilize AI and digital tools to improve troubleshooting efficiency and technical analysis.
  • Apply data analytics to identify reliability trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support development of engineering databases and digital knowledge repositories.
  • Explore AI-assisted fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance applications.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives across engineering and validation activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Experience supporting product engineering, manufacturing engineering, testing, automation, quality, or service functions.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, sensors, controllers, communication protocols, and industrial equipment.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment, medical devices, refrigeration products, or industrial products preferred.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, data analytics, or digital engineering workflows preferred.

Success Metrics

  • Establish internal ownership of ULT electrical and controls system knowledge.
  • Improve product reliability and troubleshooting effectiveness.
  • Support successful NPI and product transfer activities.
  • Support supplier qualification and localization initiatives.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in controls-related quality performance.
  • Complete at least one AI or data-driven engineering improvement project annually.
  • Build foundational controls and system integration capability within the Applied Engineering Team
