Sr Electrical Engineers– Trade Tools New Product Development

Job Duties
· Lead the design, prototype, test, and troubleshooting of embedded electronics hardware and firmware.
· Ideate, evaluate, and develop new technologies for applications.
· Identify performance and cost tradeoffs of competing electronic design solutions.
· Mentor, guide, and coach junior Engineers. May manage or lead a small team.
· Drive urgency in project schedules and hold accountability for establishing and achieving key project metrics that meet the organization's needs.
· Communicate status updates to other teams and mid-level management. Share lessons learned and design updates to other technical leaders.
· Apply a platform use approach to all new designs, gathering and implementing design considerations for use in multiple product categories.
· Build organizational capacity; provide technical guidance to entry level engineers on their projects.
· Participate in cross functional design reviews as an independent reviewer.
· Establish and define best practices for fellow team members. Create development tools to increase team efficiency.
· Work with component suppliers and manufacturers for proper component selection on existing projects and input into future product needs.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, related engineering field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 2 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer, or alternate related acceptable occupation; OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, related engineering field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer, or alternate related acceptable occupation.
Work or academic experience must have included:
10% of domestic and international travel required.
