What is your role?

As a Senior EH&S Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for environmental, health, and safety programs across the site. This position focuses on leading complex engineering projects, strengthening EH&S management systems, and ensuring that safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental requirements are integrated into plant operations.

Major responsibilities and tasks of the position:

  • Lead EH&S engineering projects involving process safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, automation, risk reduction, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including gap assessments, action plans, and system maturity development.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to implement engineering controls and improve site performance.
  • Provide technical leadership for critical risk management programs, environmental projects, and advanced risk assessments while coaching EH&S personnel and influencing site-wide decision-making.

What do you need to have?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of Environmental, Health & Safety Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an EHS Engineer, Safety Engineer, or similar technical leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican EH&S regulations; OSHA knowledge preferred.
  • Solid experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk engineering, industrial hygiene, hazard analysis, and engineering controls.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Proven leadership, project management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
