Johnson & Johnson Vision is recruiting for a(n)

Senior Director, Vision Deliver EMEA, located in Ireland.

The role provides strategic direction, leadership, and performance management across the EMEA Deliver Functions. Directs the organization's Customer Service, Distribution, and Transportation activities including management of 3PL support for Deliver. Maintains all budgetary, compliance and works hand in hand with our E2E functions to ensure the health and safety of the Vision network in region. This role orchestrates regional Deliver LT at a regular cadence, connects into both the E2E Regional Supply Chain & Global Vision Deliver LT representing Vision Deliver EMEA. The position manages for performance and unlocking value through network, product flows, cost to serve, outcome metrics.

Position will report directly to the Vision, Global Deliver Leader.

Network accountability:

  • Supporting $1.5B in Net Trade Sales (NTS)
  • 30 Distribution Centers (DCs), including 2 global DCs, supporting 90 countries
  • 15 Customer Service Centers supporting operations in 20 languages and 16 currencies
  • 30 third-party logistics (3PL) and logistics service providers

Supporting multiple teams across multiple countries:

  • 300 JnJ + 100 direct contract employees – including 3 Director roles, 25 managers, 40 supervisors, 30 professional individual contributors, supporting regional operations, customer service, transportation, inventory, analytics, engineering, PMO & portfolio management across the EMEA region
  • Regional Commercial engagement – develop strong connections to support EMEA Commercial LT
  • NPI’s and New Business model support & Network design
  • Deliver representative for EMEA Region & Global Deliver
  • Operations, Facilities, Crisis Mgmt., Business continuity, X-functional projects
  • >$140MM Budget accountability, SG&A and COGS

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead EMEA Vision Deliver warehouse, distribution and transportation operation execution and strategy, prioritizing optimization efforts, setting service level agreements (SLAs), and managing day-to-day transactional activities to ensure a reliable supply chain
  • Drive end-to-end platform initiatives within EMEA Vision Deliver across all regions to maximize effectiveness and impact
  • Manage EMEA Deliver network performance, e.g. OTIF-D, OTD/OTS, cost to service, CIP improvement, SG&A/COGS targets
  • Support Business Planning (DELIVER SG&A & COGS), regional commercial & customer needs to E2E regional and global solution strategy
  • Integrate EMEA Deliver within E2E Vision supply chain planning processes, including rapid response, issue management and escalations, strategic capacity planning, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and product flow optimization.
  • Accountable for Customer Service EMEA Vision Care franchise
  • Ensure flawless NPIs within region
  • Drive large scale EMEA programs and transformation efforts e.g. Network Optimization, Digital Transformations,
  • Operational Network Orchestration, e.g. lead time visibility E2E
  • Orchestrate Segment Deliver team within Deliver Operations to manage for performance and outcome metrics
  • Ensure Deliver is integrated into existing E2E business processes.
  • Lead and develop an organization across Analytics and E2E Integrator functions, by empowering high performing team to engage in E2E collaboration and solutions with key stakeholders.
  • Identify and champion a talent development strategy (JJSC People Strategy) for high potential and high performing talent for the segment
  • Engage both with internal & external sources to drive continuous improvement for the organization and benchmarks
  • Drive a culture of Safety & Compliance
  • Establishes and implements customer service standards, ensuring customers receive the best service possible
  • Maintains and improves customer goodwill during service periods
  • Develops policies and procedures covering the order fulfillment process, general correspondence, and resolution of inquiries
  • Drives continuous Improvement within the function for Operational efficiency, Service, Capacity, Cost, and Talent
  • Ensures adherence to all Regulatory, Safety, Environmental and SOX compliance requirements and departmental objectives.

Key Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BA/BS, advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years Leadership experience.
  • 8+ years Distribution, Transportation, or similar operations experience.
  • 3+ years customer service experience.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal abilities.
  • Fluent English language, multiple languages is a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing against a budget and making decisions that draw upon effective business and financial acumen
  • Skills demonstrated in influencing across the matrix and negotiating in situations without positional authority
  • Previous portfolio management experience that requires prioritizing projects effectively to deliver on broader business objectives
  • History of translating broader strategy into operational execution
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated track record for forging strong, productive relationships with a diverse array of customers and colleagues.
  • Effectively work in a team environment will require you to coordinate activities and build partnerships across multiple internal/external organizations.
  • Eager to set ambitious goals and take ownership for results. Proactive defining actions and following through.
  • Can dynamically adjust priorities due to changing circumstances. An agile learner who is comfortable operating in complex environments.
  • Key problem-solving skills in developing communication strategies and actions
  • High degree of independent judgment required and decision making.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€128,000.00 - €219,995.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
