The Senior Director of Operations, Power Divisionis responsible forproviding strategic leadership, operational oversight, and execution excellence across all Power Division activities. This role leads fleet management, field operations, special projects, engineering coordination, safety, financial performance, assetutilization, and customer delivery. The Senior Director drives operational efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

This position serves as a key business leader responsible foroptimizingfleet performance, supporting growth initiatives, managing large-scale projects, and aligning operational capabilities with organizationalobjectives

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic operating plan for the Power Division.
  • Lead day-to-day operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable execution of projects and service delivery.
  • Establish operational goals, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support market expansion, business growth, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, utilization, and cost efficiency across the division.
  • Direct the management, maintenance, deployment, and utilization of the division's power generation and support equipment fleet.
  • Develop fleet strategies that maximize equipment availability, reliability, and return on investment.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs, equipment lifecycle planning, and replacement strategies.
  • Monitor fleet performance metrics, utilization rates, maintenance costs, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with procurement and finance teams to support capital planning and fleet acquisition decisions.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for engineering support related to power generation, electrical distribution, and project execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop technical solutions that meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Support equipment design modifications, system improvements, and technical innovation initiatives.
  • Review project specifications and engineering requirements to ensure operational feasibility and successful execution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, electrical codes, and industry regulations.
  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and special projects from concept through implementation.
  • Manage large-scale operational improvement projects, infrastructure upgrades, fleet optimization programs, and business transformation efforts.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Monitor project performance and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Present recommendations, progress reports, and results to executive leadership.
  • Develop and manage divisional budgets, forecasts, and operational expenditures.
  • Drive profitability through effective cost management, resource planning, and asset utilization.
  • Analyze financial performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support capital expenditure planning and investment decisions.
  • Ensure operational activities align with financial objectives and growth targets.
  • Champion a culture of safety and operational excellence throughout the division.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Lead risk management initiatives and incident prevention programs.
  • Establish quality control processes to maintain high standards of customer service and project execution.
  • Conduct operational reviews and audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers and operational teams across multiple locations.
  • Build organizational capability through workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on accountability and results.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and leadership development programs.
  • Ensure employee engagement and alignment with company values and goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Support sales and business development efforts by providing operational and technical expertise.
  • Participate in customer meetings, project reviews, and contract discussions as needed.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and successful project delivery.

Education& Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, ora relatedfieldrequired

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or advanced technical certifications are a plus.

Work Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, preferably within power generation, energy services, industrial services, electrical infrastructure, construction, equipment rental, or related industries.

  • Proven experience managing large equipment fleets and multi-site operations.

  • Experience leading engineering-related initiatives and technical project execution.

  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale capital projects and operational improvement initiatives.

  • Experience managing budgets, P&L accountability, and strategic planning.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of power generation equipment, electrical systems, fleet operations, and asset management.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Strong financial and business acumen.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiencyin operational analytics, KPI development, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems, and quality processes.

Physical Demands
