To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr Director, Engineering located in Guadalajara, North Campus

Reporting to the VP Operations. will be responsible for overseeing Advanced Assembly, Manufacturing, and Test Process/Product Technology Roadmaps. Lead discovery and development with cross-functional teams from engineering, strategy, and operations. Manage multiple projects daily, meeting specifications on time and within budget. Foster innovation to meet customer needs, standardize new technologies for mass production, and interface with customers during pre-quote and sales support to win new business. Introduce advanced manufacturing technologies by training and qualifying sites tailored to specific business unit requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Technology process deployment is for all business units and value add services organization.
  • Serve as a key member of the management team that sets the company’s strategic direction.
  • Develop strategic planning for the direction and control of manufacturing process development activities, including advanced assembly roadmaps (server chassis/cabinets and trays), mechanical-electrical integration, and enabling technologies for mass production.
  • Formulate long-term objectives and standards of performance for the department.
  • Assure that the department achieves objectives and project completion within budget and time frame, including capacity planning and build ramps through line balancing, time validation, and daily KPI management.
  • Be a student of current industry trends, ensuring that the company maintains and expands its manufacturing technology leadership position.
  • Motivate staff and provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management, recognizing the role as that of both manager and support resource/mentor.
  • Assure that the manufacturing process is designed for specific needs, but with wider applications/tolerances in mind.
  • Hire and direct staff of senior group members to acquire necessary resources to meet scheduled commitments.
  • Ensure implementation and refinement of formal processes to support product development and production readiness , supplier/material readiness, ECO/PCN change control, pilot builds/qualifications, standard work/training, and continuous improvement.

The Experience we are looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related discipline; MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including 7+ years in people-management/leadership roles.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership: deep functional expertise, broad understanding of adjacent functions, and excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proven innovation mindset and creative problem solving (new technology introduction and standardization for mass production).
  • Ability to influence, drive accountability, and make sound strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data Center/Hyperscale (CEC) manufacturing expertise across advanced components/packaging, PCB fabrication, and PCBA (SMT through final assembly/test).
  • Advanced assembly & integration capability, including thermal management and mechanical-electrical assembly of server chassis/cabinets and trays.
  • Proven ability to industrialize new technologies/processes and scale to high-volume production while protecting yield, cycle time, and quality.
