About the Role

We're seeking a Sr. Director of Marketing Communications & Engagement to serve as a senior member of our marketing team and architect of MarketCast's brand transformation. This role transcends traditional marketing communications, you will define our corporate narrative, drive measurable business impact, build organizational capability, and establish MarketCast as the authoritative voice in our industry.

You’ll shape how customers, investors, employees, and the market perceive MarketCast. You'll influence corporate strategy, advise the CMO and executives reputation management, and build an integrated communications function that serves as a growth engine for the business.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who understands that brand and communications are strategic business levers, not just marketing functions.

Strategic Responsibilities

Enterprise Brand & Corporate Strategy

  • Define and drive enterprise-wide brand strategy and corporate positioning that influences the marketplace, investor relations, and market valuation
  • Develop and own communications roadmap aligned with business objectives
  • Lead business reviews with marketing team on brand health, and market perception
  • Establish brand governance framework and standards across the organization

Market Leadership & Thought Leadership Ecosystem

  • Build research and insights program that establishes MarketCast as category authority
  • Cultivate C-level analyst, media, and influencer relationships
  • Develop strategic co-marketing initiatives with partners and customers
  • Establish industry coalition leadership and strategic partnerships

Functional Leadership

Communications & Public Relations

  • Own MarketCast's narrative architecture, messaging framework, and market point of view
  • Lead comprehensive PR strategy across press announcements, thought leadership, executive visibility, and media relations
  • Manage external PR & Comms agency
  • Establish strategic media partnerships and achieve consistent share of voice leadership
  • Drive award submissions, speaking opportunities, and industry recognition programs
  • Monitor competitive landscape and provide strategic counsel on market positioning

Content & Engagement

  • Create moments that matter through high-impact events, experiences, and campaigns
  • Ensure narrative consistency and quality across all customer and stakeholder touchpoints
  • Assist in event coordination.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Professional Background

  • 7-10+ years in marketing communications, corporate communications, PR, or brand leadership roles
  • 5+ years in senior leadership positions (Director, Sr. Director, or VP level)
  • Proven track record building or transforming communications functions from ground up
  • Experience in B2B, media, technology, data, or insights-driven companies strongly preferred
  • Agency background is valuable but in-house leadership experience is essential

Demonstrated Expertise

  • Led company launches, major rebrands, or category positioning initiatives at scale
  • Built and scaled communications teams and established operational frameworks
  • Navigated complex stakeholder environments including C-suite, Board, investors, and media
  • Managed crisis situations and protected/enhanced corporate reputation
  • Drove measurable business outcomes through communications strategy
  • Established thought leadership programs that created market authority

Per the pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000. As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skill set, and any other factors MarketCast considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MarketCast believes in providing a competitive total rewards package for its employees.
