Sr. Director, Learn Business Leader

Amplity Learn | Life Sciences Learning Solutions

The Sr. Director, Learn Business Leader will lead Amplity Learn as a client-facing, revenue-generating business within Amplity’s broader medical and commercial platform. This is not an internal corporate learning leadership role. This leader will be accountable for driving the Learn business strategy forward, translating priorities into execution plans, delivering revenue growth and margin expansion, strengthening client delivery, and building the organizational capability required to scale a differentiated life sciences learning solutions business.

The successful candidate will bring a blend of learning solutions expertise, life sciences industry knowledge, digital learning fluency, AI-enabled solution orientation, operational discipline, and client-facing credibility. They will be responsible for executing against business priorities, modernizing and operationalizing the offering portfolio, partnering with sales to win and deliver new work, deploying technology-enabled solutions, ensuring high-quality implementation, and delivering measurable outcomes for pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences clients.

About Amplity Learn

Amplity Learn delivers specialized facilitated engagement skills development, coaching, digital learning, onboarding, leadership development, and capability-building solutions for medical affairs, pharma commercial, and life sciences teams. The business supports clients through expert-led, practical, scalable, and increasingly digital learning experiences, including AI-enabled coaching, adaptive learning, simulations, microlearning, learning analytics, and technology-enabled reinforcement designed to improve field effectiveness, strengthen engagement, accelerate launch readiness, and drive measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Business Delivery and Growth

  • Drive execution of the Learn business plan, including revenue targets and margin expectations.
  • Translate enterprise and Learn priorities into clear execution plans, operating milestones, resource plans, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Drive profitable growth by expanding existing client relationships, supporting new-logo acquisition, increasing cross-sell opportunities, and improving average opportunity size.
  • Partner with finance and executive leadership to manage forecasting, budget discipline, staffing models, pricing, utilization, and investment decisions.
  • Use data, pipeline insights, client feedback, and market intelligence to adjust execution priorities, improve delivery focus, and strengthen business performance.

New Business and Client Development

  • Work closely with business development and client partnership colleagues to qualify opportunities, develop proposals, and position Amplity Learn as a differentiated partner.
  • Serve as a senior client-facing thought partner in strategic pursuits, solution design sessions, and high-value account expansion opportunities.
  • Develop clear value propositions, case studies, packaged offerings, and sales enablement tools that allow the business development team to sell Learn solutions with greater consistency and speed.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate Learn with Amplity’s medical, commercial, market access, communications, and intel capabilities to deliver broader client value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders.

Innovation and Portfolio Management

  • Operationalize and refine Learn’s core product portfolio, increasing focus on scalable, digital solutions, AI-enabled learning products, microlearning, and repeatable delivery models.
  • Implement market-relevant, repeatable, and differentiated offerings that move beyond traditional classroom or facilitator-led training and create scalable digital revenue streams.
  • Bring innovation into learning design and delivery by piloting, implementing, and scaling approaches such as AI-powered role play, virtual coaching, and technology-enabled reinforcement.
  • Evaluate, select, partner with, or build digital platforms and tools that enhance client delivery, improve learner engagement, accelerate content development, and create measurable performance outcomes.
  • Apply a practical point of view on generative AI, learning technology, compliance considerations, and emerging technologies to improve delivery quality, speed, scalability, and client outcomes.
  • Establish methods to measure learning effectiveness, client outcomes, and program ROI.

Client Delivery, Operations, and Quality

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all Learn programs, from solution design and project launch through implementation, facilitation, measurement, and client follow-up.
  • Strengthen operating rhythms, role clarity, delivery standards, project governance, and handoff protocols across the Learn team and cross-functional partners.
  • Balance client delivery demands with capacity planning, profitability expectations, resource utilization, contractor management, and quality standards.
  • Identify and remove operational bottlenecks that limit scalability, speed, or margin performance.
  • Create a disciplined approach to client success, including clear expectations, regular communication, issue resolution, scope management, and post-program evaluation.

Team Leadership and Organizational Capability

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team with clear accountability across solution execution, digital learning design, AI-enabled product delivery, facilitation, learning technology, project management, client delivery, and operations.
  • Develop subject matter expertise depth across medical, commercial, leadership, digital learning, AI-enabled coaching, analytics, technology-enabled delivery, and client delivery capabilities.
  • Create a culture of commercial orientation, client service, operational ownership, innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Partner across Amplity to ensure the Learn team can support integrated opportunities and contribute to the broader One Amplity strategy.
  • Make thoughtful decisions about organizational structure, staffing, contractor utilization, team development, and succession planning.

  • Experience leading distributed teams, managing contractors or external facilitators, and scaling delivery models preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, life sciences, education, organizational development, or a related field preferred.
