Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Director, Enterprise Applications based in the Canada.
This is a senior technology leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the strategy behind a complex enterprise applications ecosystem.
You will lead the modernization of core platforms, with Salesforce at the center of how the business sells, quotes, bills, and serves customers.
The role also spans ERP, procurement, HR, integrations, data flows, and other SaaS platforms supporting critical business functions.
A major focus will be transforming the end-to-end quote-to-cash lifecycle while improving reliability, automation, data quality, and operational efficiency.
You will build and lead a high-performing team of architects, developers, administrators, and analysts while establishing strong governance and delivery practices.
Working directly with executive stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional business leaders, you will turn complex business priorities into scalable technology solutions.
This remote opportunity is ideal for a hands-on enterprise applications leader who thrives in high-growth, acquisition-driven environments and wants to shape how a data-driven organization operates.
Accountabilities:
- Own the enterprise applications strategy and roadmap, defining a multi-year vision across Salesforce, NetSuite, Coupa, HR/HCM platforms, and connected business systems based on evolving business priorities.
- Lead the quote-to-cash transformation, modernizing processes from opportunity and quoting through order management, billing, and revenue recognition while improving speed, accuracy, and scalability.
- Own critical business processes, including quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and hire-to-retire, establishing measurable outcomes and continuous improvement priorities.
- Lead hands-on delivery and execution of implementations, enhancements, integrations, and business system initiatives, making prioritization and trade-off decisions as product owner for core platforms.
- Drive integration and data quality, ensuring reliable data flows across systems of record and strengthening the accuracy and consistency of business reporting.
- Identify opportunities for automation and simplification, including the responsible adoption of AI-enabled tools where they can reduce manual work and improve business processes.
- Establish application architecture and governance standards, covering security, DevOps maturity, technical quality, release governance, incident management, and platform health.
- Introduce rigorous performance management, defining metrics, dashboards, roadmaps, OKRs, and operating practices that connect technology delivery to measurable business outcomes.
- Build and lead the enterprise applications organization, including hiring, organizational design, coaching, performance management, career development, and succession planning across technical and functional roles.
- Develop technical and delivery talent, creating clear roles, career paths, and leadership capabilities across architects, developers, administrators, and business analysts.
- Partner with executive stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, HR, and Operations to translate business priorities into scalable application solutions.
- Manage strategic vendors and technology spend, including platform budgets, software licensing, RFP/RFI processes, contract negotiations, systems integrator relationships, and total cost of ownership.
- Own key technology partnerships, managing relationships with major platform providers, influencing product roadmaps, navigating contract cycles, and resolving escalated issues.
- Support technology consolidation and standardization in a multi-entity, acquisition-driven environment while balancing growth, integration, consistency, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise technology, enterprise applications, business systems, or a closely related field, including 5+ years leading application platform teams at Director level or above
- Extensive Salesforce leadership experience, including demonstrated success scaling Salesforce environments in high-growth organizations and hands-on experience with CPQ and Billing in production.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end quote-to-cash transformations, from opportunity and quoting through billing and revenue recognition.
- Broad enterprise applications expertise beyond Salesforce, ideally including NetSuite, Coupa, and HR/HCM platforms such as Workday.
- Hands-on delivery experience, with a track record of leading implementations, integrations, enhancements, and system improvements rather than managing exclusively from a strategic distance.
- Strong technical understanding of integrations and data architecture, including APIs, event-driven patterns, cloud data flows, and environments such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with automation and emerging technologies, with exposure to AI-enabled business tools and the judgment to apply appropriate governance and human oversight.
- Proven people leadership experience, including building and managing teams of architects, developers, administrators, analysts, and managers.
- Experience managing significant technology budgets and vendors, including multi-million-dollar platform investments, software licensing, RFP/RFI processes, contract negotiations, and systems integrators.
- Experience in multi-entity or post-acquisition environments, with the ability to consolidate systems, standardize processes, and create scalable enterprise architectures.
- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations is highly relevant, particularly where technology must support rapid growth while improving operational efficiency.
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to partner effectively with C-suite and senior Finance and go-to-market leaders.
- Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, combined with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach to turning ambiguous business requirements into scalable systems.
- Experience in data-intensive, analytics-driven, automotive, financial services, or information services environments is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline required; an advanced degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
Benefits:
- Starting salary: $210,000–$240,000 USD per year for U.S.-based employees.
- The corresponding Canadian salary range is $200,000–$230,000 CAD per year
- Actual compensation may vary based on skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business needs, and geographic location.
- Remote work opportunity in Canada.
- Senior-level opportunity to shape enterprise technology strategy and transformation across a broad business applications portfolio.
- Significant exposure to executive stakeholders and cross-functional leadership teams.
- Opportunity to build and develop a high-performing enterprise applications organization.
- Ability to influence major technology investments, vendor relationships, automation initiatives, and business transformation programs.
- Inclusive workplace committed to equal employment opportunities and diverse perspectives.
