Job Description

GE Vernova is seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Director to lead our Commercial & Regulatory Services function within the Product Cybersecurity organization. This high-impact, HQ-based role serves as the connective tissue between GE Vernova’s diverse business units and the rapidly evolving landscape of cybersecurity commercial obligations, customer-facing requirements, and global regulatory mandates.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cybersecurity contracting and compliance, a strategic command of the emerging regulatory environment, and an explicitly AI-forward mindset. This leader will be expected to actively identify and deploy intelligent tooling, automation, and AI-enabled workflows to reduce friction in customer engagements, accelerate business unit regulatory readiness, and position GE Vernova as a cybersecurity-trusted partner across every sector we serve. Embracing AI is not optional in this role — it is a core competency and a strategic imperative.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Services

  • Lead the strategy and response for complex customer cybersecurity contract proposals (MSAs, SOWs, and RFPs).
  • Serve as the authoritative voice in contract negotiations, balancing risk, liability, and market competitiveness.
  • Deploy AI-assisted tools to automate and accelerate responses to security questionnaires, contract reviews, and risk analyses.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Sales to align cybersecurity contract positions with deal strategy.

Regulatory Readiness

  • Monitor and interpret global cybersecurity regulations (NIS2, NERC CIP, IEC 62443, EU CRA, etc.) into actionable business guidance.
  • Design and operationalize a regulatory readiness framework, helping business units assess gaps and build remediation roadmaps.
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools for continuous gap analysis and prioritized compliance reporting.
  • Represent GE Vernova’s cybersecurity regulatory perspective in industry and government forums.

Cross-Business Unit Enablement

  • Act as the HQ liaison for commercial and regulatory matters, ensuring a consistent enterprise security posture.
  • Harmonize cybersecurity obligations across business units for shared customers to reduce conflict and duplication.
  • Build intelligent knowledge management systems and AI-augmented tools to empower business units to self-serve.
  • Establish governance and escalation paths to ensure all engagements align with enterprise policy.

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, focusing on commercial, regulatory, or policy-facing roles.
  • Proven track record managing cybersecurity contract negotiations in industrial, energy, or critical infrastructure.
  • Deep expertise in energy-sector regulatory frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443, NERC CIP, NIS2, EU CRA).
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical/legal concepts for executive audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, legal, or related discipline.

Preferred

  • Enterprise-level experience in the energy, utilities, or industrial technology sectors.
  • Practical experience applying AI/ML tools to compliance and knowledge management workflows.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC).
  • Advanced degree (JD, MBA, or Master’s).
  • Experience building and scaling commercial cybersecurity programs from the ground up.
