Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Architecture

  • Shape the future direction of Newbuild: Develop and put into action a clear plan for using AI and digital tools across our large-scale Newbuild projects, focusing on practical benefits like keeping projects on schedule, reducing rework, continuous improvement, improving how we spot risks, and helping engineers get more done.

  • Set the foundation for success by creating a standard approach for how our data, systems, and new technologies like AI and digital dashboards connect and work together, including tools for managing data, finances, design, equipment, and project progress.

Data Foundation & Platforms

  • Make sure our older information works well with our newer systems, like large data storage and easy-to-use reporting tools. Help teams easily use their data for better forecasts, improved project planning, continuous improvement, and smart digital assistants (agents).

  • Clearly decide which types of information—like parts lists, drawings, renderings, project plans, requirements, and records of changes—are most important.   • Collaborate closely with IT teams to clean, collect, and organize Newbuild data, ensuring information is reliable, accessible, and ready to support project planning and decision-making.

AI, Analytics & Automation

  • Set up smart AI tools to assist with design, interpreting specifications, and analyzing the impact of changes. Instead of responding to RFIs, focus on leveraging these tools to identify and select vendors who align with our roadmap and strategic agenda. Ensure that the solutions are user-friendly and can be deployed securely and efficiently.

  • Create simple prediction systems that alert the team to possible schedule delays, vendor issues, defects, or readiness for commissioning. Use automated notifications and workflows to quickly address problems and keep projects moving smoothly.

Productization & Delivery

  • Stand up an AI product portfolio with roadmaps, OKRs, and release trains; measure adoption and impact with transparent KPIs.

  • Drive the delivery and implementation of AI tools while providing ongoing education and training programs to empower team members, ensuring the department builds sustainable, long-term AI capabilities and confidence in leveraging new technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline required, with preference for coursework or experience in AI, analytics, or digital transformation.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale digital transformation, AI initiatives, or enterprise project management within complex organizations.

  • Proven track record in senior consulting or advisory roles, driving strategic change and digital adoption across multiple business units.

  • Expertise in overseeing and implementing a broad range of technology transformation initiatives, especially those involving artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and emerging digital solutions.

  • Industry background in cruise, hospitality, or major engineering/manufacturing environments is highly advantageous, though not mandatory.

Core Competencies

  • Exceptional organizational and strategic time management abilities, with a proven capacity to prioritize complex initiatives across multiple workstreams.

  • Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to interpret large-scale data sets and synthesize actionable insights for executive audiences.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience delivering high-impact presentations and influencing senior stakeholders.

  • Expert proficiency in PowerPoint and artificial intelligence tools, with hands-on experience designing and communicating AI-driven solutions.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as advanced project management platforms such as Adobe Workfront, or equivalent enterprise solutions.

  • Highly collaborative leadership style, fostering cross-functional engagement and continuous learning to drive digital transformation and innovation.

  • Demonstrated ability to support and drive business transformation initiatives, including managing change, aligning stakeholders, building capability, and implementing process improvements.
