Sr. Development Engineer

Your tasks

• Execute complex development projects within defined schedule, cost, and quality targets.
• Optimize project value by proactive risk, change, and issue management.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through reliable delivery, quality, and technical support.
• Lead the end to end development of HPC charging guns according to internal H+S design process.
• Analyze customer specifications and translate them into clear technical requirements.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and related engineering documentation (CATIA V5, PDM).
• Develop design concepts and evaluate options based on performance, manufacturability, assembly, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Define and implement design verification and validation tests for high power charging systems.
• Select and apply appropriate design tools and simulation methods to accelerate development and ensure design robustness.
• Support industrialization activities and ensure smooth transition from prototype to series production.
• Provide expert technical guidance to cross functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Document engineering knowledge, lessons learned, and design standards.
• Support root cause analysis and resolution of internal and external quality issues.
• Act as deputy for designated senior engineers or team leaders when required.

Your profile

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Proven expertise in designing plastic and metal components; experience with high current connectors preferred.
- Familiarity with HPC charging technologies, thermal management, and EV industry standards is highly desirable.
- Strong experience with CATIA and 3D CAD methodologies.
- Deep understanding of mechanical and electrical interfaces in high power connector systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross functional and international teams.
- Proficient in English spoken and fluent in written expression.
