ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
As a Development Engineer you will be responsible to drive and develop processes and products across new and existing product lines for our Embelex team based in Panyu. For this you will conduct process development in support of new and existing proprietary product concepts at the pilot and operational scale in the manufacturing plant environment. In this role you will collaborate across different teams in the organization such the R&D team and you will investigate creative solutions to technical process problems and create business opportunities by systematically exploring novel engineering approaches.
You will use your knowledge of engineering to support the development of variable printing capabilities and technology platforms. This role requires hands-on scale-up and manufacturing trials in conjunction with plant personnel.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Develops standard operational procedures for design and process across new and existing product lines.
- Develops Heat Transfer apparel labeling constructions and the associated equipment required to produce the final product. Periodically reviews his work with a senior staff member, project leader, and/or the technical manager /director.
- Assists in the trouble-shooting of production or customer problems related to his area of competence.
- B.S. in the sciences required with specific degrees in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Manufacturing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of operational performance and productivity .
- Position requires excellent problem-solving skills with high levels of motivation, initiative and energy.
- Direct experience with Heat Transfer labeling and chemistry is highly desirable.
- Effective written and oral communications Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of CAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Knowledge of FMEA is preferred.
- Good planning skills and working experience with planning techniques.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to interact effectively with both internal and external customers.
