TITLE: Sr. Desktop .NET Engineer (WPF/MVVM) - IoT project

LOCATION: Remote (Europe)

ROLE TYPE: CONTRACT (2-3 yrs) - FULL TIME

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Engagement Type: B2B Contract (Full-Time);

• Duration: 2-year initial contract (likely extension to 3 years);

• Location: Remote (Europe-only);

• Rate: Between $6,000–$6,500 USD/month (depending on experience);

• Start Date: Project kicking off in the coming weeks;

ABOUT THE ROLE

YourCode is currently seeking, in partnership with a global engineering services company, an experienced Desktop .NET Developer to join a large-scale greenfield IoT project for a German client. This is a unique opportunity to work from the ground up on a long-term initiative focused on building integrated software systems for connected devices.

You’ll be part of a distributed engineering team developing modern desktop applications that interact with hardware, sensors, and robotics systems in real time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing and developing desktop applications using C# and .NET;

• Building modern UIs using WPF / WinUI / MAUI following MVVM principles;

• Developing custom UI controls and data visualisation components (2D/3D);

• Integrating with hardware devices, sensors, and robotics systems;

• Implementing high-performance, multithreaded, and asynchronous solutions;

• Working with communication protocols such as TCP/UDP, WebSocket, gRPC, and REST APIs;

• Collaborating with teams working in native C++ modules and SDK integrations;

• Contributing to system architecture, optimisation, and scalability;

KEY REQUIREMENTS (TECH ENVIRONMENT)

• Strong experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core;

• Solid background in desktop application development (WPF, WinUI, or MAUI);

• Good understanding of MVVM architecture;

• Experience with multithreading, async/await, and performance optimisation;

• Familiarity with network protocols and API integration;

• Experience working with hardware integrations, sensor data, or similar systems is a plus;

• Exposure to C++ / native modules (DLLs) is advantageous;

• B2 level German (required for client communication);
