Job Description

1. Oversight and support to Treasury Sales team members & Treasury colleagues.

2. Support Group Head of Treasury Sales to develop Treasury Sales strategies, and perform activities in line with approved strategy.

3. Ensure strict adherence to policies governing the Treasury Sales activities.

4. Ensuring the effective controls environment of the Sales and wider Treasury unit.

5. Responsible for governance around all CIB & RB clientele requiring Treasury services – documentation, limits, suitability, and other legal/compliance/risk requirements.

6. Maintain all client meeting call reports and records of telephonic discussions.

7. Maintain records of deal agreement/confirmations.

8. Communicating the main Treasury Sales issues and challenges to the Group Head of Treasury Sales and other stakeholders.

9. Managing relationships with internal and external parties, Middle Office, Treasury Risk, and TROPS.

10. Keeping senior stakeholders informed of market conditions, headwinds, opportunities, and risks.

11. Responsible for ensuring good lines of communication are maintained across all Treasury Front Office and Treasury support functions.

Requirements

  1. Degree qualified, ideally postgraduate in a quantitative discipline (E.g. finance, mathematics, engineering, economics, etc.).
  2. Treasury qualifications from a recognized body.
  3. Minimum of 8 years' experience in active FX, IR, Commodity vanilla products and Derivatives Sales or a combination of Treasury Trading and Treasury Sales focused roles, ideally from a global bank operating in the MENA region or a large regional bank.
  4. Good understanding of Treasury best practice (e.g. Basel Committee of Banking Supervision and/or other frameworks)
  5. Experienced in pricing derivative products and structured solutions.
  6. Advanced skills in Excel and Power Point.
  7. Effective Leader and team player.
  8. Good communication and presentations skills within treasury function and related departments.
  9. Fluent command in English.
  10. Proactive self-starter that searches for solutions.
  11. Creative thinker, problem solver - analytical and commercial.
  12. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  13. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  14. Ability to work under pressure and ability to multitask.
  15. Appropriate knowledge of the required Central Bank of Iraq regulations.
  16. Good understanding of the banking market and different market sectors.
  17. Good understanding of the banks products and services.
  18. Have strong negotiation skills.
  19. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  20. Strong networking and relationship skills
  21. Ability to work under pressure and ability to multitask.
