
Responsibilities
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts, fostering growth, collaboration, and a culture of continuous learning.
• Assess training needs and provide ongoing skill-building opportunities for team members.
• Allocate resources, prioritize projects, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of data outputs.
• Oversee the integrity, security, and accessibility of data across Salesforce platforms, Microsoft Suite, and Tableau.
• Establish and lead data governance practices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, lineage, and stewardship across systems.
• Ingest, link, and manage large datasets from multiple systems (e.g., CRM/Salesforce, LMS, EHR/HRIS, survey platforms, government datasets); build repeatable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) with strong QA.
• Data quality & governance support: deduplication, record linkage, codebooks/metadata, data dictionaries, and reproducible workflows; uphold privacy and data-sharing agreements.
• Direct the design, execution, and interpretation of data analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
• Build dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to track organizational performance and operational KPIs.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Partner with program teams to align data collection and reporting with organizational goals.
• Demonstrate program outcomes and organizational value to funders, partners, and stakeholders through data-driven storytelling.
• Support fundraising and grant reporting by providing accurate data and performance metrics.
• Monitor emerging data tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance data management and analytics capacity.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to maximize the strategic use of data across the organization
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, Business Analytics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum six ( 6) years of progressive experience in data management, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role required.
• Proven experience with Salesforce (data model, integrations), Microsoft 365/SharePoint/Excel, and data integration tools (API, ETL/ELT, middleware).
• Demonstrated strength in data governance (quality, standards, metadata/lineage, stewardship) and managing cross-system data integrity.
• Technical proficiency: SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) for data querying/modeling; R (tidyverse, visualization, basic modeling); visualization tools (Tableau; Power BI a plus).
• Experience leading data teams and building staff capacity through training and mentorship.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated success in leveraging data to evaluate programs and communicate impact to stakeholders.
