As an Senior Data Engineer at eBay India Analytics Center, you will bridge data engineering and data science, to build robust data platforms, optimize pipelines at scale, and create data products for downstream business and data science teams.

You will be responsible for project delivery, and collaborate with stakeholders. The role requires strong technical execution and stakeholder management

Role & Responsibilities

  • Delivery Management: Oversee the data engineering development lifecycle. Ensure projects are finished on time and fit business needs.

  • Risk & Quality Control: Track project metrics, fix issues, and manage risks to keep team productivity high.

  • Stakeholder Interaction: Work directly with analytics and business leaders to align technical plans with business goals.

Core Requirements

  • Experience: 6 to 8 years in data engineering with previous team management.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong development background in modern data stacks on-prem and cloud : AWS / Azure. Expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark.

    • Sound understanding of DB Design, Data Modelling, Data Management and Governance, Building semantic models.

  • Frameworks: Strong knowledge of Agile practices, Scrum, and project tracking tools like Jira.

  • Soft Skills: Great communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
