Job Title: Senior Data Architect
Location: NYC, NY – Onsite
Position Type: Long-Term Contract
Salary Range: $70/hr. on W2 without benefits
Experience Required: 10+ years

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale Data Lake, Data Analytics, and Data Strategy solutions. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in data architecture and a strong background in developing technology roadmaps, architecture frameworks, and mission-critical data platforms using Databricks and/or AWS

This role will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to establish a strategic data architecture roadmap, develop reporting and analytics products, and create implementation frameworks to support multiple program workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit and analyze data-related business goals, requirements, and objectives from key stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive data architecture roadmap for the program.
• Design and implement a scalable Data Lake and Analytics Reference Architecture
• Manage and oversee the data implementation plan across the three primary IES workstreams.
• Develop reporting and analytics products to support business and operational needs.
• Create an implementation framework that enables multiple workstreams to effectively utilize data products and services.
• Develop end-to-end data solutions from requirements gathering through implementation, deployment, and post-production support.
• Create detailed architecture documentation, including data models, architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and standards.
• Develop technology roadmaps and project implementation plans aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and leadership to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on enterprise data architecture, analytics, and data platform best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Lake, Data Analytics, or Data Strategy
• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable technical and data architectures.
• Experience developing technology roadmaps, implementation strategies, and project plans
• Strong expertise in creating detailed architecture documentation, models, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Hands-on experience implementing mission-critical data systems using Databricks and/or AWS
• Strong understanding of Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, and modern cloud data architectures.
• Experience delivering data solutions from initial requirements gathering through post-production operations and support.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and technical writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large-scale government, public sector, or enterprise data programs.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data security.
• Experience designing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
• Experience leading or supporting multiple concurrent data implementation workstreams.
• Strong understanding of data architecture frameworks and best practices.
