The Sr. Coordinator, Events Management position exists to provide oversight and to manage all event program initiatives. This position works with the Sr. Events Manager on idea generation, strategy, coordination, and delivery of all event programs. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing event logistics, production, and direction of events and timelines related to programs managed by the Events team.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Works with the Sr. Event Manager to develop strategic event plans and customer journeys that support goals and objectives for event programs
• Manages execution, communication, documentation, and logistics of event programs
• Oversees marriage and parenting small event programs, administration, and support from inquiry to event conclusion and debrief
• Leads in logistical management, support, training, procedures, and care for contracted event speakers in the small event program
• Leads creative/brand content, in collaboration with the marketing and creative services teams, for event programs, including the creation of presentations, conference participant guides, website copy, and landing page layout
• Works effectively with various departments to ensure successful event programs, providing prompt follow-through on assigned tasks and responding quickly to requests for information
• Develops, nurtures, and maintains strong professional relationships with churches, pastors, lay leaders, contracted speakers, and partners on behalf of Focus event programs
• Collaborates with cross-ministry stakeholders to execute event programs
• Knows and understands target audience in events and works with Sr. Events Manager to develop programming for that audience
• Researches and analyzes data of event trends related to event promotions, content, experience, and post-event journeys for implementation
• Maintains regular communications of project status and reporting to Sr. Events Manager and Director
• Oversees, tracks, and ships product inventory, giveaways, and event supplies
• Facilitates contracting, purchasing, and invoicing processes with internal and external teams
• Acts as a subject matter lead for the event management system, which includes training new builders on the platform and building and maintaining complex registration sites
• Serves as a program representative for Focus on the Family at vendor booths on behalf of Marriage, Parenting, Culture, and Church event program initiatives
• Assists Events Department with large and extra-large event support, including but not limited to talent management, planning and executing logistics, production display, and stage management
• Assists with project management of event program builds or changes
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
• Performs other duties as assigned
Managerial Breadth/Scope of Job:
• May lead volunteers or support teams on large or extra-large events
Working Environment/Physical Requirements:
• Office environment
• Lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds
• Pushing/pulling of materials up to 50 pounds
• Periodic domestic travel for small event programs and large event support, including nights and weekends, as needed

Knowledge/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business, or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of related experience
• Experience with strategic and tactical planning
• Working knowledge of FOF mission, philosophy, values, and objectives, as well as budget guidelines
• Task-oriented and able to follow directions to a desired outcome
• Understands the use of post-event communication channels to engage a variety of event audiences
• Demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication of information
Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels
• Proficient in the use of computer hardware and software including MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, and Aprimo
• Ability to use judgment to solve moderately complex problems within the limits of standard policy and practice
• Ability to communicate articulately, effectively, and tactfully at all levels, verbal and written
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to manage the stress and pressure of multiple projects under strict deadlines

Pay Range: $24.00 to $27.50
