Job Description

The Sr. Content Strategy Manager is responsible for leading the global content strategy for performance marketing across 7 PayJoy markets. This is a hybrid role that combines a genuine passion for digital content creation with a rigorous, data-driven approach to content measurement, experimentation, and iteration, making every creative decision accountable to business outcomes. The Sr. Content Strategy Manager leads both internal and external content creation teams, owns the global influencer marketing strategy, and builds scalable, AI-first content systems that adapt to each market while consistently driving measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the global content strategy for performance marketing across 7 PayJoy countries, ensuring every creative output is directly tied to measurable business outcomes (CAC, Lead-to-Sale, take rate, brand engagement).
  • Build and lead a content measurement and experimentation framework, including A/B testing protocols, performance dashboards, and structured iteration cycles, to continuously optimize content against key business metrics.
  • Lead, develop, and scale both internal and external content creation teams across all markets, establishing clear workflows, quality standards, and creative briefs aligned to performance goals.
  • Own the global influencer marketing strategy: from creator identification, vetting, and partnership negotiation, to campaign execution, content quality control, and ROI measurement across all 7 countries.
  • Champion an AI-first approach to content production, building scalable creation workflows and tooling that dramatically increase output capacity while preserving creative quality and cultural relevance in each market.
  • Partner closely with Performance Marketing, Data/BI, and Growth teams to ensure content strategy is informed by funnel data and directly contributes to CAC reduction and conversion improvement.
  • Design and maintain scalable content playbooks and systems that enable cultural and linguistic localization across 7 markets without sacrificing brand consistency or performance benchmarks.
  • Oversee content calendars, creative asset pipelines, and publication cadence across all markets, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery aligned to campaign objectives.
  • Present content performance insights, experiment results, and strategic roadmaps to senior leadership regularly, translating creative work into business language.
  • Monitor and integrate emerging trends in digital content, generative AI tools, and the creator economy to maintain competitive advantage across all markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital content strategy or content marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional and/or multi-country teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build content measurement systems, design and run structured content experiments (A/B testing), and connect content performance directly to business metrics (CAC, conversion rates, revenue). Content experimentation must be as natural as content creation.
  • Deep expertise in global influencer marketing including creator strategy, partnership negotiation, campaign execution, and ROI measurement across multiple markets simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in BI tools, content analytics platforms, and performance dashboards. Ability to translate data insights into creative strategy decisions and vice versa.
  • Proven experience building and scaling AI-first content workflows and production systems that increase team output capacity without compromising quality.
  • Experience leading content strategy across multi-country environments (7+ markets preferred), with strong sensitivity to cultural and linguistic localization requirements.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills ability to partner effectively with Performance Marketing, Product, Data, and CX teams to align content strategy with business objectives.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills in English; Spanish or Portuguese proficiency is strongly preferred.
