For our team, we are looking for (Sr.) Consultant – R&D Consulting to help us drive ADV business within Siemens and beyond. We are a highly motivated team and excited to get to know you.

You'll make an impact by

  • Help clients identify and improve the PLM/IPD processes, incl. product portfolio management, product requirement definition, product development, product commercialization and phase out.
  • Help clients build up capabilities and competence in Product Lifecycle Management domain, e.g. R&D project execution and delivery.
  • Understand clients’ pain points and expectations in PLM processes, practices and IT systems, analyze root causes and provide professional and practical recommendations and solutions to improve client’s QCD (quality, cost, delivery) KPIs.
  • Guide through or coach customers to understand, accept and implement the recommendations and solutions provided above, realizing the customer impacts in terms of QCD KPIs.
  • Lead or participate in defining clients’ digital R&D transformation​ roadmaps, including but not limited to: Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), application of digital twins in product development, and implementation of DevOps / Agile methodologies for hardware-software integrated products.
  • Guide clients in leveraging digital platformsto streamline end-to-end product lifecycle processes and enable data-driven decision making.
  • Explore and drive the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (e.g., Generative AI, Machine Learning)​ across the R&D value chain, such as intelligent requirements analysis, automated testing, knowledge graph–based R&D decisions, AI-assisted simulation and optimization.
  • Facilitate internal and external workshops with customers, with a structure and guided group discussion on strategy, solutions, interviews, etc.
  • Be responsible for leading clients through these operational improvements and scale up business transformations as a thought leader, people leader and organization leader
  • Proactively manage changeswithprofessional methods and handling complex analyses and resolve customer issue.
  • Work hand in hand together with clients on each engagement, facilitating working sessions with client management/project teams, motivating and coaching the client team during transformations

Your defining qualities

  • Be passionate about consulting and solving client’s problems in PLM/IPD/R&D domains.
  • Familiar with basic consulting skills as a structure thinking, visualization, questioning and interview, presentation and workshop moderations, etc.
  • 5+ years of work experience in Product Lifecycle Management as Product Manager, R&D Project Manager, R&D Engineer, Product Customization, and/or Production Engineering.
  • Familiar with CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) and/or IPD (Integrated Product Development) and/or NPD (New Product Development).
  • 3+ years of working experiences in a consulting firm as a PLM, CMMI, IPD or NPD consultant.
  • PLM software (e.g. TeamCenter, Winchill, ENOVIA) background and consulting experiences is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML applications in R&D, supported by real project experience (e.g., NLP for requirements management, computer vision for defect detection, predictive models for R&D scheduling optimization).
  • Working experiences or consulting experiences in modularization (or reuse design, product line engineering, requirement engineering etc.) is preferred.
  • Result oriented with structured analytical skills, with the ability to translate analysis into solutions.
  • Evidence of a distinctive career achievement and/or academic record. Master degree, other graduate level degree preferred.
  • Comfort with extensive travel (60% or above)
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English
