You'll work with a high degree of independence to identify trends, assess complex issues, and recommend improvements that reduce losses and strengthen internal processes. In this role, you'll help manage fraud risk policies, strategies, and projects for fraud team and across the bank. You'll use data and analytics to identify risk exposures, develop practical mitigation strategies, and support a strong client experience in fraud management. • Risk assessment and analytics - Identify significant fraud risk exposures through data analysis and consultation with partners across the bank. Review initiatives, processes, and programs to ensure alignment with fraud management policies and recognized industry standards.
  • Monitoring and solution design - Use data to assess the effectiveness of fraud strategies and recommend enhancements where needed. Prepare clear documentation, including narratives and process flows, to illustrate risks, impacts, and proposed solutions.
  • Consulting and cross-functional partnership - Work with Fraud Strategy partners and support teams to guide analytical work that informs fraud strategies. Represent fraud strategy requirements in larger initiatives and ensure fraud mitigation needs are considered and implemented effectively.
  • External insight and continuous improvement - Build relationships with fraud contacts at other organizations to exchange ideas, benchmark capabilities, and stay informed on fraud trends, technology, and industry practices. Apply these insights to strengthen CIBC's fraud management approach.
