A Day in the Life

Join Medtronic, a leader in healthcare innovation dedicated to alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending lives. As a Senior Compliance Specialist, Transparency, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s global transparency reporting program. Working closely with a global team, you will help ensure compliance with U.S. Open Payments and other international transparency regulations by collecting, reviewing, and reporting data related to interactions with healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations. In this role, you will develop and maintain a strong understanding of applicable federal and state regulations related to transparency reporting requirements.

The Senior Compliance Specialist will be based in Bogotá, Colombia, and will report to the Compliance Director in the United States who leads the global transparency reporting program. This is a full-time position with a flex work style.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Collaborate with internal teamsto compile, review, correct, andsubmitdataas mandated by federal authorities in the United States and other regions. All deadlines must be met

  • Maintain and updateHealthcare Provider (HCP) and Healthcare Organization (HCO) databasesforaccuratereporting

  • Supportemployeetrainingandcommunicationsthat focus on the elements of transparency reporting and proper data capture within source systems

  • Respond professionally and promptly to inquiries from our business partners related to transparency reporting requirements and guidelines, including providing ad hoc reports

  • Assistwith the disputeresolutionby reviewingdata accuracy andfacilitatingremediation

  • Prepare summaries and presentations for managementon reported data and key metrics

  • Escalate issues appropriately to ensure compliance and data integrity

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Completedbachelor's degree in any discipline

  • Fluent in Spanish and English

  • Strong computer literacy including highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

  • Threeyears of experience in one of the following areas: data analytics, financial reporting, regulatory, auditing and monitoring,operational role with technical emphasis

The ideal candidate willhaveexperience working with large data setsandquery tools such asPowerBI,demonstratingproficiencyinprocessingand organizing substantial volumes of data on a regular basis. Strong attention to detail and the ability toidentifyand resolve data inconsistencies are highly desirable qualities for this role.
