Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Implementation and maintenance of Azure, AWS, and OCI IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS cloud solutions.
  • Support of existing cloud solutions including cost, performance, and reliability. Maintenance, and documentation of backup and recovery systems within Azure, AWS, and OCI.
  • Supports DevOps practices for infrastructure and security management. Supports application and security architecture and design across multi and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Provides necessary written documentation and knowledge transfer to stakeholders and team members within the working group.
  • Provide support and escalation point to systems administrators.
  • Support cloud networking functions in collaboration with global networking team.
  • Support cloud implementation policies and security guardrails.
  • Be involved in decision making process for new solutions in the Crane cloud environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
  • Job requires the ability to use vision, adjust focus and work on a standard computer screen.
  • Use of audio-visual equipment is required.

Education & Experience

  • 2 years+ experience in Microsoft Azure
  • 1 years+ experience in Amazon Web Services
  • Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum-focused organization.
  • MS/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work in and automate routine tasks via code pipelines.
  • A systematic problem-solving approach coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
  • Awareness of infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, PowerShell, Azure ARM, Pulumi, or Terraform.
  • Awareness of pipeline-automation tools such as Jenkins, CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Cloud Formation or other comparable tools.
  • Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Azure Container Instances, AKS, and AWS offerings Comfortable in a Linux environment.
  • Comfortable working with SQL and Oracle databases preferred
  • Understanding of foundational Azure, AWS, and OCI services
  • Ability to maintain Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, etc.
  • Exhibit a Site Reliability Engineering mindset when engaging with or supporting reliability and incident response practices
  • Excellent client service, communication, and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with translating technical problems to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of security and IAM/RBAC practices within a multi-cloud environment

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Professional certification may be required in some cases
