Senior Enterprise Architect – Cloud Modernization

Bridge Legacy Enterprise Systems to the Cloud — At Scale

We’re looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect with deep experience modernizing complex, legacy enterprise environments at scale. This is not a lift-and-shift role. You’ll help tackle the applications and infrastructure that couldn’t simply be migrated, developing practical strategies to containerize, modernize, and move them into a multi-cloud environment.

What You’ll Do

• Develop modernization strategies for complex legacy applications and infrastructure
• Assess aging systems and create practical roadmaps for modernization
• Design approaches for containerizing and migrating applications that require more than a traditional cloud migration
• Develop scalable strategies for managing modernization across a large enterprise application portfolio
• Partner with technical teams and managers to evaluate architecture, dependencies, risks, and modernization options
• Review application architecture and code when needed to inform technical strategy
• Drive adoption of modern architecture patterns across a complex environment
• Communicate recommendations clearly and influence teams and leadership to move modernization initiatives forward

What You Bring

• 20+ years of enterprise architecture experience, ideally in large-scale, complex environments
• Proven success modernizing legacy enterprise systems at scale
• Strong cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP; multi-cloud experience highly preferred
• Deep understanding of legacy applications, middleware, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture
• Experience with application modernization, containerization, microservices, and cloud migration
• Ability to get into the technical details when needed while maintaining a strategic, enterprise-level perspective
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence teams and leaders and build consensus around modernization strategies
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with no ego
