In this role, you will be responsible for planning and purchasing materials required for current and new products. This position will be based out of our headquarter in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Essential Duties include but not limited to following areas:

  • Plan and purchase material requirements and ensure flow of materials for ongoing production as well as for new products in development.
  • Prepare, review, place department purchasing requisitions.
  • Manage entire cycle of purchase order as well as to ensure vendors receive the orders.
  • Maintain computerized purchasing records and paper filing.
  • Monitor progress against plan through regular reporting for on-time delivery, warehouse and assembly productivity, backlog, inventory accuracy, vendor performance.
  • Monitor and resolve production material shortages.
  • Manage supply chain partners including qualification of new suppliers, compliance with company sustainability policy, and ensuring delivery and quality performance targets are achieved.
  • Seek, partner and maintain relationships with reliable outside vendors and suppliers to manage purchase order based on demand.
  • Responsible and accountable for physical inventory control and accuracy.
  • Ensure regular auditing and root cause analysis to drive continual improvement and to document/implement corrective and preventative actions where needed.
  • Collaborate with department heads to generate weekly sales forecast.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (or Supply Management) or Electrical Engineering (EE) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the IT materials environment, suppliers, and vendors, along with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement purchasing strategies.
  • Minimum of 8 years related to the electronic component, materials management, procurement and supply chain experience preferred.
  • Data modeling and analytics (e.g., Coursera), proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), demand forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Strong communication for managing stakeholder relationships, problem-solving, and adaptability.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources develop/recommend/implement solutions.
  • Ability to grasp and understand overall business processes while being able to perform and validate the processes at the detail level
  • ERP Proficiency in high-level mastery of systems such as SAP (S/4HANA).
  • Ability to use Excel (VBA, Macro) or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) to perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling.
  • Crisis Management, able to have “Plan B” under high pressure.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English is required.

Salary Range

$100,000 - $133,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
