Autodesk is looking for a passionate individual that wants to be part of a fast-moving company transforming how it delivers value to its customers through new processes and technology. The Senior Business Systems Analyst – Finance Automations will be responsible for driving process excellence within Autodesk’s Finance Transformation organization, partnering and collaborating with both business and technology teams in a cross-functional way.

This role will intake, assess, and prioritize new automation opportunities as well as develop requirements to simplify, optimize and automate business processes in our world-wide finance areas. In addition, this role will work closely with automation engineering teams to help design and deliver scalable automation solutions. This is a highly visible role on the leading edge of a dynamic transformation within Autodesk. This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with in-office time atleast once a week.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a talented group of process analysts and software engineers to identify business processes best suited for simplification, optimization, and automation

  • Perform structured assessments of business processes to determine fit for automation and forecast ROI

  • Create process design documents and collaborate with the automation development team to transform process designs into solutions that deliver business value

  • Define business outcomes and metrics to determine forecasted and actual ROI

  • Work with business teams in the finance organization to understand their business value streams and desired outcomes

  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical system requirements

  • Participate in solution design discussions, including system integrations, data flows, and automation architecture

  • Support automation lifecycle activities including design validation, testing coordination, and deployment readiness

  • Ensure automation solutions are tested, documented, and ready for production deployment

  • Collaborate with Enterprise IT, Internal Audit, and Compliance teams to ensure secure and compliant deployments

  • Support change management, incident identification, and continuous improvement efforts for deployed automations

  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on work in progress, backlog, and new automation opportunities

  • Build automations using approved technologies

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in business process improvement, systems analysis, and process automation

  • Experience in finance processes and enterprise systems

  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and business analysis

  • Exposure to automation technologies such as RPA and low-code platforms

  • Foundational understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing, and release processes

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical automation solutions

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a problem-solving mindset

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams

  • Experience working in Agile or Lean environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automation tools such as UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, or Alteryx, AI Agents

  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, etc.)

  • Understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data flows

  • Experience with testing practices including unit, integration, and UAT testing

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control tools, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)

  • Experience with process mining, intelligent automation, or AI-driven automation solutions

  • Strong background in stakeholder management and delivering measurable business outcomes

  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Experience working on complex system implementations and automation initiatives
