About the role

Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Our client is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to provide support for our Commodity Risk Management business area. You will be assigned requirements gathering/documentation, as-is/to-be analysis, and gap analysis assignments along with new system implementation projects and maintenance support of existing systems. You will have an excellent understanding of the BSA skillset and toolset and have a understanding of modern computing technologies. (written, verbal, presentation) with internal partners, IT personnel, and external service providers is critical to success in this role. You will develop new processes to automate and reduce workload and contribute to IT and our business areas

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate requirements workshops for large projects.

• Define our requirements and test cases using structured methodologies.

• Lead documentation of our requirements, test cases, use cases, and design thinking exercises.

• Provide written and verbal updates on projects and solutions to IT and business management.

• Consultant to our internal partners regarding technology and process solutions.

• Facilitate finding, developing viable technology solutions for our partners by working with teammates, IT groups within the company, external service providers, and partners.

• Provide guidance to our internal partners by knowing what software systems they have in place and determining what those systems may be able to go forward.

• Interface with internal partners, IT groups, and external service providers to implement new systems, modify existing systems, and provide system maintenance support.

• Provide application and system support for multiple systems used by our internal partners.

• Provide support for projects and troubleshooting efforts.

• Perform Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance control execution and evidence gathering

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in either computer science, information technology, or computer engineering

• 5+ years of experience supporting technology projects and applications as a senior business analyst

• Experience developing process maps, gathering our requirements, with an emphasis on application testing. Follow formal change management policies.

• As lead BSA on capital projects and Operations & Maintenance efforts for multiple client areas.

• Ability to provide second and third-level support for inquiries submitted to the IT Help Line.

• Data analysis experience troubleshooting application tasks.

• Experience working with compliance and regulations (NERC CIP, SOX, etc.) is desirable.
