Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships. • Participate in regular business unit meetings to understand operating models, processes and business priorities • Assess current and future business requirements, industry trends, and leading practices across relevant technology areas such as web content management, plant information systems, and asset management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve business processes, and translate them into design specifications, implementation plans, and operational solutions • Contribute to project delivery by partnering with IT to define solutions, align on approach, and support execution. This may include business case development, solution configuration and testing, and design of system integrations and reports • Develop and maintain user documentation and deliver training • Provide analytics and decision support to inform business outcomes • Consider usability and data management throughout the system lifecycle • Define and monitor measures to support achievement of expected business outcomes • Support the use of shared systems, processes, and reporting across regions to reduce duplication of effort • Design and deliver region-specific solutions aligned with Global IT strategy, standards, and guidelines. Ensure consistency with enterprise-wide systems and processes, and proactively identify opportunities to transition local solutions to scalable global platforms where appropriate. • Contribute business capability roadmaps, and align with enterprise architecture and software development standards, and related practices • Maintain vendor relationships to stay current on new products and assess impact on systems and support models • Provide input on IT capital planning and project resource requirements • Advise on policies and procedures related to the use of business applications • Maintain system documentation and ensure changes follow the Methanex Management of Change process Requirements University qualification in Information Technology/Science/Systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant IT experience. • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience • Strong conceptual understanding of how technology enables business processes and value delivery • Applies structured problem-solving and data-driven analysis to identify root causes, evaluate options, and recommend solutions • Proven track record implementing complex, mid to large size business projects using internal and external resources. Measures of complexity include global footprint, number/diversity of project participants/stakeholders, number of processes impacted, people impacted, technical complexity, project budget, etc. • Advanced business knowledge • Highly developed stakeholder management skills including effective communication at all levels of the organization (from individual contributor to CEO) and ability to develop and adapt communications based on audience • Experience with the following disciplines: project management, business analysis, governance, testing, change management, incident management and business continuity/disaster recovery •Demonstrated ability to lead change management activities, including stakeholder alignment, user adoption, and embedding new ways of working. • Knowledge of developing functional specifications for use by systems developers • Experience facilitating meetings and workshops e.g. requirements definition, etc. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, administrative and organizational skills • Works well in ambiguous situations with demanding customers • Able to manage competing priorities from multiple customers in an effective and positive manner • Strong team player with the ability to take the initiative and be proactive when resolving issues • Experience working with Global teams in a multi-disciplined/ multi-functional team environment or the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones, with a demonstrated openness to learning and adapting to global ways of working • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft desktop tools including MS Project • International travel is required approximately 1-2 times annually • Understanding of the Petrochemical industry is an asset • IIBA certification (or equivalent) and non-IT business experience (engineering, asset maintenance, supply chain, marketing, HSE, etc), is an asset • Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence is considered an asset • Experience with Maximo, PI OSI Soft experience driving solutions in an enterprise environment is considered an asset
