New Jersey Resources is seeking a Sr. Business Risk Application Specialist to collaborate with business users and IT development team to support business applications. Define and develop business requirements and functional specifications for proposed system modifications and enhancements. Contribute technical and business expertise to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications and projects, ensuring solutions meet organizational needs. Partner with stakeholders to define detailed requirements and system interfaces, assess available technologies, and develop and present technical solutions. Provides support and maintenance of existing customizations and application functionality.
Major Responsibilities
• Provide daily support for the FIS Aligne Risk Management system, including troubleshooting and data validation.
• Serve as a key liaison between trading, risk, and senior management, providing clear, actionable risk insights.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools to support risk and trading teams.
• Gather requirements and implement system enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Monitor and reconcile risk data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in testing and deployment of system upgrades and enhancements.
• Assist in automating reporting processes and improving system performance.
• Document processes, configurations, and support procedures.
• Develop and maintain application batches, reports, and T-SQL queries for risk reporting and data analysis.
• Respond to audit requests by providing accurate data and documentation.
• Stay current with energy market trends and risk management practices.
• Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in risk management within energy, commodities, or financial markets.• Strong proficiency in T-SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Aligne ETRM/any Trading risk management platform
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
• Understanding of natural gas and power markets.

Other Details:
Job Location Type is Hybrid.
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $115,900- $147,700.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
