The Senior Business Planning Analyst provides analytical support for long-term strategic program and capital planning initiatives across Boston Children’s Hospital. This role partners with hospital leaders and stakeholders to conduct complex financial and operational analyses, develop recommendations, and support data-driven decision-making that improves financial performance and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead analytical support for strategic program and capital planning efforts, including defining project scope, managing timelines, and delivering results.
  • Conduct complex financial, operational, and utilization analyses to assess program viability and support enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Develop long-term financial projections and provide insights to hospital leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and executive-level reports to senior leadership.
  • Lead special projects focused on improving hospital operations, financial performance, and process improvement.
  • Mentor team members and support the development of analytics, reporting, and business intelligence skills.
  • Partner with department leaders to translate data into actionable strategies and improvement plans.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance analytics processes, tools, and best practices across the organization.
  • Prepare and review reports and documentation for regulatory agencies and external organizations as needed.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with colleagues, leadership, and cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a closely related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business planning analysis or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience performing complex financial and operational analyses.
  • Experience developing recommendations and presenting findings to leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of analytics, operational effectiveness, and process improvement.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, influence stakeholders, and work collaboratively across departments.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday.
  • Hybrid/flexible scheduling may be available based on department needs.
