Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Use data warehousing and business intelligence tools to source, transform, analyze, and provide access to data to assist management in strategic decision making.
  • Design, document, and implement dashboards, reports, and thresholds to monitor key performance indicators, provide insights, and identify notable trends.
  • Collaborate with management to establish objectives, standards, and strategies for delivering updates and changes to reporting and analytical procedures.
  • Identify and isolate emerging trends that will assist in making internal data driven decisions.
  • Effectively test hypotheses and communicate results to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on results from marketing campaigns and other acquisition or usage initiatives.
  • (Weighted 20%) Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence Tools
    • Proven knowledge & experience third-party analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and Snowflake
    • Assess data sources and coordinate with other teams for required data sets
  • (Weighted 20%) Develop Analytics Dashboards & Reporting (AD HOC & Scheduled)
    • Ability to accept business requirements & development data analytics views
    • Manage AD HOC & Scheduled Reporting based on business requirements
  • (Weighted 20%) Card Services Strategy Team Support
    • Support Card Strategy requests on product development
    • AD HOC data requests from business cases / UAT and production issues
  • (Weighted 20%) Card Services Operations Team Support
    • Support Card Operation requests on operations systems
    • AD HOC data requests / UAT and production issues
  • (Weighted 20%) Card Services Compliance Team Support
    • Support Card Compliance requests on compliance development
    • AD HOC data requests from compliance concerns / research

Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years’ minimum experience working in analytics, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • OR Associate’s degree with 5 years minimum experience working in analytics, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, financial, and decision-making skills. Ability to take complex data sets and deliver concise recommendations.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of the debit and credit card infrastructure and payments landscape preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in technology applications such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Experience in the application of statistical methods, mathematical techniques, forecasting, and cost benefit analysis along with related analytical tools (JMP, SPSS, SQL, SAS, Power BI).
  • Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals.
  • Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Skilled at presenting findings and conclusions clearly and concisely.

Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Experience working with third-party analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and Snowflake preferred.

Job Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Job requires a substantial amount of sitting.
  • Must use hands and fingers to press keys on a computer keyboard to enter or retrieve information.
  • Must use hands and fingers to press telephone keypad and lift telephone receiver.
  • Must be able to comprehend phone calls.
  • Must be able to lift 5 pounds.
