Sr. Business Analyst- Incentive Compensation

Department: Commercial Insights & Analytics, Operations GBS

Location: Bangalore, India

Are you a Pharma Analytics expert with a knack for transforming complex data into high-stakes business outcomes? We are looking for a Business Analyst – Incentive Compensation to join our Frontline Excellence hub in GBS. You’ll lead end-to-end IC operations, co-create requirements with global stakeholders, and deliver the insights that drive our field force forward.

The Position

As an Associate Business Analyst/ Business Analyst, you will manage the Incentive Compensation operations and strategy, ensuring incentive delivery is accurate, timely, and insight-driven, while translating stakeholder needs into practical analytics and operational outcomes.

Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Focus on Incentive Compensation Operations (IC)
  • Drive end to end incentive processing and reporting per IC calendars, including data processing, validation, calculation, and reporting.
  • Ensure outputs are reliable and decision-ready, supporting transparency and auditability.
  1. Translating business needs into IC delivery requirements
  • Understand stakeholder business requirements and translate them into IC operations delivery requirements
  • Provide structured guidance on what is needed to deliver effective IC execution.
  1. Maintain process documentation and operational best practices
  • Keep process documentation up to date and ensure adherence to best practices to support consistency across IC cycles.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repeatable steps, improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  1. Provide and communicate analytics to enable informed decisions
  • Produce and effectively communicate pre-/post-IC analytics both qualitative and quantitative metrics that support stakeholder decision-making and action.
  1. Act as a true thought partner—co-create, align, and unblock
  • Proactively collaborate with stakeholders to co-create requirements, align on priorities, and resolve issues.
  • Deliver field-force analytics and strategic insights to support incentive plan design and target setting.

Qualifications

We are expecting you to hold the skills and knowledge below:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s/Engineering degree from a recognized institute.
  • 5+ years of Pharma industry and/or consulting experience.
  • Translate business needs into efficient analysis plans; execute end-to-end analytics (data pull, preparation, and insights).
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders (customers, vendors, consultants, and internal project teams).
  • Having SFE capabilities is a plus - including call planning, segmentation and targeting, and territory alignment to support more effective commercial execution across the commercial value chain.
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving; synthesize complex data to provide cohesive recommendations and customize solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering field-force / commercial effectiveness projects with data-driven execution and operational excellence (including milestone tracking and support).

About the department

Commercial Insight & Analytics, GBS Bangalore, is responsible for data management, analytics and insight generation for the global markets. The unit supports global stakeholders in taking commercial execution decisions through data-driven insights. The department encompasses various hubs such as Integrated Insights & Analytics, Frontline Excellence, Strategic Pricing & Market Access and Contract Operations & Insights.
