The Operational Governance team delivers collaborative, forward‑looking, data‑driven support for the global Investments and Distribution Services (IDS) organization. We partner with functional leads to shape strategic priorities, provide analytical insight, and embed consistent operational governance across people, culture, engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. We track and report progress against our key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) and oversee key risk and control programs (RCSA, SOC, SOX, third‑party governance, SLAs), BCP/DR, and incident management. The team also leads and manages key strategic initiatives, collaborates, and coordinates communication across IDS.

This role combines business analysis and project management leadership to drive the successful delivery of strategic, regulatory, and operational initiatives. The Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager partners with cross-functional stakeholders to define solutions, manage execution, and provide clear, data-driven insights to leadership.

As a BA/PM professional, the role serves as a bridge between business teams and execution. It is well suited for individuals who can translate business needs into structured insights, drive analysis, and support project delivery in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Project & Program Delivery
    • Lead end-to-end delivery of initiatives from intake, planning, execution, and closure
    • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues
    • Ensure consistent governance, controls, and reporting aligned to organizational standards
    • Proactively manage and escalate risks, issues, and decisions to maintain delivery momentum
  • Business Analysis & Solution Design
    • Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements, scope, and success criteria
    • Conduct data analysis, root cause assessments, and process mapping to identify improvement opportunities
    • Meet with global delivery teams to understand our business processes and create standard operating procedures
    • Translate business needs into clear requirements, workflows, and actionable deliverables
    • Support development of business cases and solution recommendations
    • Consolidate large volumes of qualitative and quantitative inputs into executive-ready outputs (e.g., decks, summaries, insights)
  • Stakeholder Management & Governance
    • Engage across business, operations, risk, and technology teams in a highly matrixed environment
    • Influence stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority
    • Facilitate working sessions, decision forums, and governance reviews
    • Provide clear, concise, executive-ready reporting and presentations to leadership
    • Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Data, Reporting & Insights
    • Collect, validate, and analyze data to support decision-making and performance tracking
    • Develop dashboards, KPIs/KRIs, and reporting frameworks
    • Present insights in a clear, meaningful, and actionable format for varied audiences
    • Enhance data quality, transparency, and reporting efficiency
  • Continuous Improvement & Change Management
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and delivery practices
    • Drive adoption of standardized methodologies and tools
    • Support change management and communication efforts to ensure successful implementation
    • Contribute to strengthening operational effectiveness and delivery discipline

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, project management, or program delivery at a management or financial consulting firm
  • Proven track record delivering cross-functional initiatives in complex, regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks
  • Experience developing business process maps and documenting standard operating procedures
  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to generate insights from complex data and present findings to senior leadership
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence across global teams and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve issues across business areas, and drive outcomes with minimal oversight
  • Expertise in developing high-impact, executive-ready presentations
  • Experience leading initiatives across both co-located and virtual/global teams
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and persuasive communication style
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) – Development & Data Management
  • Good understanding of leveraging AI for Data structuring & presentations. Should also understand how to leverage AI in future for Operational Governance
  • Preferred: Background in Investment Operations, Distribution, or Financial Services

Formal Education:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, or equivalent experience in Financial Services or a related field Or bachelor’s degree in engineering with dedicated experience in Financial Services
