Job Description

KeyBank is executing a multi‑phase business transformation to modernize its wealth management ecosystem by integrating Envestnet as the core Unified Managed Platform (UMP).This is a business‑led transformation, not a pure technology replacement. The Business Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring existing advisor and client capabilities are preserved or enhanced.

The Business Analyst (BA) acts as an agent of change and the primary bridge between Line of Business (LOB), technology teams, and third‑party vendors (Envestnet, Pershing). The BA is accountable for defining, validating, and managing program‑level requirements that guide design, development, testing, and adoption across the Envestnet program.

This role requires strong domain knowledge in wealth management operations, complex account structures, and data‑driven integrations, along with the ability to navigate ambiguity and evolving requirements across iterative releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non‑functional program requirements across front-to-back-office processes (proposals, portfolio management, billing, reporting, and advisor workflows).
  • Translate business problem statements into clear, consumable requirements for technology teams.
  • Perform current‑state vs. future‑state gap analysis to ensure no critical advisor or client capabilities regress in the Envestnet platform; clear documentation of current vs future state
  • Own and maintain requirements throughout the SDLC

Must-Have Skills:

  1. Core BA competency; Proven experience in gap analysis, business requirement documentation, and process flow creation.
  2. Strong multitasking, problem-solving skills, and a self-starter mindset to handle ambiguity.
  3. Expertise in the wealth domain, with knowledge of any related product or system.
  4. Agile experience, including using tools like Jira to manage user stories.
  5. Excellent communication skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with wealth management products such as Pershing (NetX, NetXInvestor), FIS (Global Plus, Global Office), MoneyGuidePro, eMoney, or Envestnet.
  • SQL proficiency to read and write queries and perform data mapping.
  • Big Query
  • Miro or Draw.io
  • Confluence

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 43,000

Maximum Compensation: USD 152,000

Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.

Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full-time employees.

This position is available for independent contractors
