The Alzheimer’s opportunity is one of the most exciting we have seen in the history of Lilly. Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is one of the leading causes of death in the UK, with no current medications for cure or prevention. Lilly has 30+ years of investment in AD research and development across both therapeutics and diagnostics. The UK ecosystem is not ready to implement disease-modifying medications at this time and has no defined diagnostic pathway for patients with early Alzheimer's Disease. The role of the Alzheimer's Diagnostics Brand Manager is to prepare the ecosystem to support accurate and timely diagnoses of Alzheimer’s Disease. They will help HCPs see the value of biomarker diagnostic tools to confirm AD diagnosis and unlock the ability to diagnose patients earlier and more accurately. The Alzheimer's Diagnostics Brand Manager will implement strategies to increase the use of cognitive assessments, blood biomarkers, CSF biomarkers, and PET tracers.
