We are seeking a Senior Brand Manager to lead the strategic development, commercialization, and execution of marketing initiatives for a key brand portfolio. This role is ideal for a highly strategic marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating cross-functionally to drive business results.

As the owner of your brand portfolio, you will be responsible for defining the vision, shaping the strategy, and leading execution to achieve revenue, profit, market share, and brand growth objectives.

Position Summary

The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for leading the strategic direction and day-to-day management of assigned brands, including business planning, innovation, commercialization, advertising, financial management, consumer insights, and portfolio growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Consumer Insights, R&D, Supply Chain, and external agency partners to develop and execute plans that strengthen brand equity and deliver business results.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Business Leadership

  • Develop and execute annual and long-range brand strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives.
  • Lead development of business plans, forecasts, marketing programs, and budgets.
  • Monitor brand performance and proactively identify opportunities and risks.
  • Recommend and implement strategic initiatives to drive revenue, market share, and profitability.

Innovation & Commercialization

  • Lead the commercialization process from concept through launch.
  • Partner closely with Consumer Insights, Research & Development, Operations, Finance, and Sales teams to bring new products and initiatives to market.
  • Manage project timelines and facilitate decision-making to ensure successful execution.
  • Champion innovation opportunities grounded in consumer insights and business needs.

Consumer & Market Insights

  • Analyze consumer, customer, category, and competitive data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Utilize market research and syndicated data sources to inform strategic decisions.
  • Translate insights into actionable marketing plans and innovation pipelines.

Brand Communications

  • Partner with internal teams and external agencies to develop integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Lead development of creative strategies, messaging, packaging, digital marketing, advertising, and promotional programs.
  • Ensure brand positioning and communications are consistent across all channels.

Financial Management

  • Manage brand budgets and marketing investments.
  • Monitor business performance and evaluate marketing program effectiveness.
  • Analyze financial implications of business decisions and make recommendations that support profit and revenue objectives.
  • Track and report return on investment for marketing initiatives.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the primary brand leader across the organization.
  • Lead brand-related discussions in business reviews, forecasting meetings, and planning sessions.
  • Influence cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with U.S. counterparts to identify synergies, drive efficiencies, and share best practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive consumer packaged goods (CPG) marketing experience.
  • Experience managing established consumer brands and leading annual business planning processes.
  • Demonstrated success leading innovation and commercialization initiatives.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including budget management and business analysis.
  • Experience working with syndicated data and consumer research tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Preferred

  • Experience within the food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods industries.
  • MBA or advanced business education.
  • Experience working with Canadian national brands.
  • Experience collaborating across North American teams and stakeholders.
