Sr. BPA Analyst Global R&D

Location: Mexico City

As a Sr. BPA Analyst Global R&D supporting the R&D Finance Team, you will be responsible for creation, consolidation and maintenance of financial reports and dashboards, with its corresponding variance analysis and meaningful commentary, plays as CapEx reporting and planning consolidation processes owner for the R&D organization and leads the maintenance of the reporting structure in the different systems. Also, supports the financial planning processes with oversight across all P&L lines, project cost, and FTEs. Additionally, any other duties as assigned.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Support FP&A processes – Budget, Forecasting, long range planning, etc. assisting management in strategic and operational decision making
  • Drive improved management reporting - work with supported finance teams to more discreetly and accurately track financial results
  • Drive existing dashboards/reports– analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to supported finance teams
  • Use of financial systems (ASPIRE, SAP, etc.) to manage and perform analysis of financial results
  • Identify, prioritize, and lead process improvements to drive value creation
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related analytical discipline
  • At least five (3) years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (including the ability to synthesize, simplify, and convey story with clear and concise messages)
  • Take ownership for the work and intelligently challenge the status quo
  • Ability to understand the bigger picture (i.e. impacts across the business, etc)
  • Team player able to interact with all levels and interface effectively with global and functional counterparts
  • Proactivity, attention to detail and quality
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Medium proficiency in consumption and navigation in Visualization and Data preparation software (i.e. Alteryx, Tableau)
