Senior Bookkeeper
Full-Cycle Accounting | Manufacturing Environment

Location: St. Catharines, ON
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent. This posting is for a current open position with our client. 

TreowGroup Recruitment is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join a well-established and growing manufacturing organization in the Niagara region. This is a hands-on, high-impact role supporting day-to-day accounting operations across a multi-entity environment. Strong growth path to Accounting Manager position.

Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & Benefits
  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Administer employee benefits (enrolments, updates, terminations)
  • Prepare and remit source deductions, EHT, and WSIB filings
Accounts Payable
  • Enter and code supplier invoices with proper approvals
  • Manage payment runs and maintain AP aging
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Accounts Receivable
  • Generate and issue customer invoices
  • Manage collections and maintain AR aging
  • Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts

General Ledger & Month-End
  • Post journal entries with appropriate documentation
  • Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Assist with year-end working papers for external accountants
Inventory & Manufacturing Support
  • Support inventory costing and reconciliation processes
  • Assist with WIP tracking and production costing
  • Maintain accurate records within the ERP system

Compliance & Reporting
  • Prepare and file HST returns and other statutory filings
  • Support government reporting requirements and documentation
Qualifications:
  • 5–7+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
  • Full-cycle Payroll processing experience
  • At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with multi-entity or intercompany accounting is an asset
  • Experience with HST, EHT, and WSIB filings
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience
  • ERP experience required (Dynamics NAV/Business Central preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
  • Experience with multi-currency transactions is an asset
