About job

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a secure and high-performance API for both our web and mobile applications. You will also optimize and maintain our central databases to ensure they are always available and performing at their best. As the product and business evolve, youll build new features and systems to support our growth. Taking the initiative to improve software, particularly addressing pain points in your own experience as a developer, is a key aspect of this role. Youll also manage and review code from other team members, collaborating with them to prepare it for production. Additionally, you will work closely with frontend teams to troubleshoot issues and devise robust solutions.

Responsibilities

1. 3+ Years of Experience in Backend Development Proven experience in building performant backend systems, preferably using Python and Django
2. Database Expertise Strong experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, with a focus on Postgres
3. Cloud Experience Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, to manage infrastructure and deployments.
4. Passion for Problem Solving Enthusiasm for tackling technical challenges and the ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly.
5. Strong Development Practices Experience in setting and maintaining good development practices, ensuring consistency and high-quality standards across backend projects.

2. Database Optimization Manage and optimize central databases, ensuring they are highly available and perform efficiently, addressing any bottlenecks or issues.
3. Feature Development Build new features and systems to support the growth of the product and meet the evolving business needs, while maintaining high-quality standards.
4. Code Review & Collaboration Actively manage and review code contributions from the team, ensuring they are production-ready and following best practices, while collaborating with other team members for improvements.
5. Problem-Solving & Support Collaborate with the frontend teams to identify and solve technical issues, ensuring robust and effective solutions across the platform.
