About the product

TrendAI Vision One - XDR for Networks is an advanced Network Detection and Response (NDR) solution that automates the correlation of advanced threat events for response actions, and unmanaged device discovery across the network.

As a backend engineer on this team, you will design, build, test, and deliver this NDR solution — contributing to detection capabilities, and system reliability. You own quality end-to-end: writing the code and writing the tests that prove it works.

Your mission

• Design and implement reliable, high-quality software components that solve real-world network security challenges.

• Own the core development lifecycle — spec writing, implementation, test automation, service monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.

• Write and maintain automated tests (unit, API-level, and E2E test) as first-class deliverables alongside feature code.

• Integrate AI tools throughout every stage of development — from spec generation and test design to code review and root-cause analysis

• Collaborate with PMs, architects, developers, QAs, and partner teams on requirements, design reviews, and cross-team integration.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues by identifying root causes and implementing robust fixes.

• Automate and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

What we're looking for

• Programming proficiency in C, C++, Python, or Shell Script

• Familiar with Git and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Ansible)

• Experience working in Linux operating system environments

• Good English communication skills

• Active learner, self-motivated, and proactive to solve problems independently

AI-assisted development

• Integrates AI-native tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) across the full development workflow.

• Provides effective context to AI by maintaining project-specific configuration (e.g. CLAUDE.md, Cursor Rules) that reflects the codebase's architecture and conventions.

• Applies Spec-Driven Development and TDD with AI: writes specs or test cases first, uses AI to implement, then reviews output systematically for correctness, edge cases, and security.

• Has built maintainable AI tools or automation scripts with clear documentation — artifacts a teammate could pick up without the original author present.

Extra skills we love

• Adequate knowledge of networking-related technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, network protocols)

• Familiar with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
