Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Django) - Hybrid, Łódź - up to 135 zł/h netto (B2B)

On behalf of its client, YourCode is seeking an experienced Python/Django Backend Engineer to support development of systems in the energy sector. The role involves two key platforms: (1) a mature, high-traffic system and (2) a newer application with broad scope for enhancements as part of an ongoing digital transformation. This role suits someone confident working with established codebases, understanding business logic, and making sound technical decisions across multiple applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• developing and maintaining Django backend applications;

• working with PostgreSQL and system integrations;

• contributing to feature design and technical decisions;

• performing code reviews and ensuring code quality;

• collaborating with the team and communicating with clients;

• configuring systems with a security and performance mindset;

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• strong commercial experience with Python/Django (4–6+ years preferred);

• ability to work effectively with complex existing codebases;

• solid grasp of software architecture and logical reasoning;

• strong communication and requirements-analysis skills;

• confidence in technical decision-making;

• good knowledge of REST APIs, Git, and Linux;

• experience with Docker, CI/CD, or cloud basics (e.g., Azure) (preferred);

• experience building stable and secure systems (preferred);
